Student answer (Band 5.5)
In contemporary era, consumerism has been escalated as compare to past few years. There are also increasing demand in particular local good production. In my perception this is out rightly advantageous to a large extent. My preference is explained in the upcoming paragraph with a valid reasons and appropriate examples.
The fundamental reason for my inclinations is that local consumer can bring prosperity to your local area. For instance, If Hariyana states grow a crop around 200 kg that can bring all profit to their state's farmer, Instead of importing same crop from outside of the country. Besides this, local area also get a fame by other states. For example, In Gujarat, gir they are producing good and extraordinary mango which is also exporting in many counteries and they are gained too much attention and fund from many places.
Conspicuously this can lead to number of noticeable changes. Firstly, If food and goods are produced locally, we had a chance to eat fresh food instead of using food with added preservatives. To examplify, according to WHO it is more advisable to eat food with less preservative and less pesticides.
However, some people may counter claim that imported goods can bring some uniqueness for cloning and better crop production. Local prduction can get more ideas of better production with different techniques.
Based on aforementioned reasoning, I still stand by my stance. No doubts international goods can bring some characterstic features to particular place. Undeniably, local good production is a great idea for local fame and local prosperity.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You give a clear overall view that buying locally is advantageous, and you offer relevant reasons, including support for local farmers and access to fresher food. The examples about Haryana’s crop and Gujarat’s mangoes help illustrate local economic benefits. However, the reasons for consumers’ increasing preference are not fully explained: the response focuses more on benefits of local production than on why consumers are choosing it. The positive-versus-negative question is answered, but the discussion of imported goods is brief and unclear, particularly the point about “uniqueness for cloning.” Develop each main reason with a clearer explanation and a specific, credible example, and make the comparison with imported goods more precise.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, paragraphs presenting reasons and benefits, a counterpoint, and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “Besides this,” “Firstly,” and “However” help signal the direction of the discussion. Overall, the ideas can be followed, but progression is sometimes uneven: the second paragraph moves from farmers’ profits to regional fame without clearly connecting these points, and the paragraph about imported goods does not explain how it relates to the main argument. Some transitions, including “Conspicuously,” feel mechanical or do not clearly express the relationship between ideas. Use topic sentences that state each paragraph’s main point, then connect examples explicitly to that point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “prosperity,” “importing,” “preservatives,” and “pesticides,” and these choices show an effort to discuss economic and food-quality issues. However, several inaccurate or unnatural expressions make parts of the argument difficult to interpret, such as “consumerism has been escalated,” “local good production,” and “uniqueness for cloning.” Spelling errors such as “counteries,” “prduction,” and “characterstic” also reduce precision. Aim for accurate, natural collocations rather than more elaborate phrasing: for example, describe rising demand for locally produced goods and explain that imported products may offer variety or different production methods. Proofreading spelling and word forms would make your meaning clearer.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including conditional structures such as “If food and goods are produced locally” and a contrast introduced by “However.” Nevertheless, errors in sentence construction, agreement, articles, and verb forms are frequent enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. For example, “There are also increasing demand” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “If Hariyana states grow a crop around 200 kg” does not form a clear grammatical sentence. In “we had a chance to eat fresh food,” the verb form does not fit the general claim. Practise building accurate subject–verb patterns and checking tense consistency, then use complex clauses only when their relationships are clear.
