Student answer (Band 5.5)

In this modern world, few customer are perfering to buy the home made product ratherthan not choice product which is imported. This will help to increase the GDP of your own country. This is positive trend which is follwed by the local people.

The main reason is buy the local product is that people trust on local brand and they are more cheaper than imported product. For example, john deere tactor is made of german company and it is so expensive as well as, the maintenance and spare parts are also expensive so, that by indian farm perfer to by the local brand swaraj and mahinder tactor they are cheaper.

On the the hand, the favorable point is that on people want to develop their own country economic so, mostly people try to buy the home made product . If they will buy local product than demand will rise so thay have to increase the supply which will help to provide the employement also. For instance, local bander is manufacturing the clothe and most of the shopkepper perfer to buy product from him this will help the rise the productivity he will increse the supply he will need labour than people will get the job which woill help to increase the GDP of country.if goverment will get more tax trhen government will provide better school ,college ,road and hospital.

in conclusion, people shpuld buy the local product to develop there own country which will lead to developmemny in your country.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both questions: you give reasons for choosing local goods, including trust and lower prices, and present the trend as positive because it can support employment and the national economy. The tractor comparison and clothing-manufacturer example are relevant, but the explanations are difficult to follow in places and some claims—such as increased tax leading to better public services—are asserted rather than clearly developed. Your position is positive, although the opening and conclusion could state it more clearly and consistently. The response also falls one word short of the required 250-word minimum. To strengthen the response, explain each reason in a clearer sequence and make the examples more precise and directly connected to the question.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. The first body paragraph focuses on trust and price, while the next develops economic benefits, so the reader can identify the main points. However, progression within sentences and between ideas is often unclear, particularly in the long clothing example, where production, supply, employment and tax are joined together without clear steps. Linking phrases such as “On the the hand” are inaccurate, and repeated use of “so” and “which will help” makes cohesion mechanical. Use shorter sentences, organise each paragraph around one main reason, and use clear references and transitions to show how each example supports that reason.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “imported product,” “local brand,” “demand,” “supply,” “employment” and “GDP.” These terms help communicate the general argument, but the range is limited and several word-choice, spelling and word-form errors make parts of the response difficult to understand. Examples include “home made product,” “perfer,” “shopkepper,” “employement” and “developmemny.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “trust on local brand” and “rise the productivity.” Build accuracy with common collocations and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise vocabulary for local production and economic effects would also help you express the ideas without repeating “local product” and “help to increase.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer cause-and-effect sentences, for example, “If they will buy local product than demand will rise.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors in agreement, articles, verb forms and sentence construction sometimes make the meaning hard to follow. In “few customer are,” the noun should be plural; “people trust on local brand” also needs a more accurate grammatical pattern. The long sentence beginning “local bander is manufacturing” contains several clauses that are not clearly connected. Punctuation and spacing are inconsistent, too. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with controlled clauses using “because,” “which” and “if”; check subject–verb agreement and articles during revision.
