Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is undeniable that some customers prefer to purchase products from the local market instead of imported products. It has some reasons that stimulating people to buy from local busimesses, such as reliability and low prices. In my view, it has a positive trend that contributes to economic growth of local markets.
The main reason behind increasing the preference to choose buying a product in their local are rather than imported goods is the reliability. Local markets are more realiable because people can meet the sellers and can get information from the local business and even they can see the whole prosess of production of goods by themselves which is not possible for the imported goods. Even customers can get information about the imported goods byt they are less reliable as compared to the products of local markets.
The cost of the product can be the another prominent reason increasing demand of localy produced products instead of imported goods. The goods that produced in the local area have no hidden charges such as imported cost and taxes which increase the prices of product. If customers buy goods produced by local businessmen, they can save their money that they utilize for another purpose.
Increasing demand of products that are produced at local area have a positive trend. The more sale of goods produced by local businessmen can help them to earn more revenue that contributes to the growth of economy and the employement rate. The more sucessful businessmen do investments in their own country, that provide employement and livlihood to many people. Consequently, more employement can contributes to the growth of economy.
To sum up, consumers increasing demand to buy goods that are produced in their local area instead of imported goods because it offers reliability and cheaper products and have a positive trend as it rise the employement and economic growth of country.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address both parts of the prompt: you give two reasons—reliability and lower prices—and clearly state that the trend is positive. The explanation of reliability is relevant, especially the point that buyers can meet sellers and observe production. Your discussion of price also links local production with avoiding import costs and taxes. The positive effects on revenue, employment and economic growth are appropriate, but these consequences are asserted rather than illustrated or fully explained. The conclusion restates your position effectively. To strengthen the response further, develop each main idea with a specific example and clarify how local purchasing leads to the stated benefits.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the reasons and your evaluation, and a conclusion. This makes the main line of argument easy to follow. You also use linking expressions such as “The main reason,” “Consequently” and “To sum up.” However, some connections are mechanical or repetitive, particularly the repeated references to “local” products and the repeated “The more…” constructions in the final body paragraph. A few references are also unclear, as in “it has a positive trend,” where “it” could refer to demand or local production. Use more varied transitions and make pronoun references explicit to create smoother progression.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “reliability,” “imported goods,” “hidden charges,” “revenue” and “economic growth.” These choices communicate the central ideas, but the range and control are uneven, with noticeable spelling, word-form and collocation errors. Examples include “realiable,” “busimesses,” “employement,” and “livlihood”; these reduce the accuracy and polish of the writing. Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “the preference to choose buying” and “at local area.” Aim for more precise, natural combinations and check spelling carefully. Replacing repeated general terms such as “products” and “goods” with suitable alternatives would also improve flexibility.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses with “because,” “which” and “that,” and the overall meaning is generally understandable. However, errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles and verb forms occur often enough to limit accuracy. For example, “It has some reasons that stimulating people” lacks a correctly formed clause, while “The goods that produced” needs a passive verb form. In “The more successful businessmen do investments … that provide,” the agreement and sentence construction are also faulty. Review article use and singular/plural agreement, and practise building complex sentences accurately before adding further clauses. Greater control would make your ideas easier to read.
