Student answer (Band 5.5)
In recent years, some people perfer to purchase things that are prepared in their residential area, inspite of goods that are imported from other areas. From my perspective, this is a positive impact for society. In this essay, the reasons behind this trend would be discussed.
Intially, this trend has started because of the high prices of petrol because these high prices affected badly on the export of things. The natural resources of petrol are eleminating from various societies;consequentally, rates of imported things automatically get high more than before. For example, due to the excessive rates of diseal and petrol things are not imported, local people start to manufacturing the things that are low in price as compare to the things that are brought from other countries; as a result, the local people purchase these things.
Furthermore, governments have started manufacturing compnies to reduce the unemployment from societies. This is mainly because highly educated people also have different skills that really play a crucial role on the progress of society. These qualified people are selected in these manufacturing compnies; consequentally, the quality of things get better. When goods are made in local areas they are definiately more beneficial for people; as a result, citizens prefer their own areas' goods rather than importing.
Taking all points into account, it can be said that things made in local areas are more beneficial as compare to importing them because it also provides employmeny opportunities to its citizens. The governments should establish more factories and companies in local areas

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You give a clear positive view and address both questions: you suggest that imported goods become more expensive when fuel costs rise, and that local manufacturing creates jobs and can improve product quality. These are relevant reasons, and the conclusion restates your position. However, the explanation of why consumers choose local goods is not always clear: the link between petrol prices, exports and local production needs to be explained more precisely. The claim that governments establish companies and that this improves quality is also asserted rather than supported with a specific example. Develop each reason with a clearer cause-and-effect explanation and a relevant example to make your response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. Paragraphs generally focus on separate reasons, and signposts such as “Furthermore” and “Taking all points into account” help readers follow the overall direction. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, “as a result” is used repeatedly, and the first body paragraph moves from fuel prices to local manufacturing without fully explaining the transition. The introduction also promises that the reasons will be discussed but does not clearly preview the positive position. Use a wider range of linking methods, and make the relationship between each claim and its consequence explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate your main points, including “imported,” “natural resources,” “unemployment,” “manufacturing companies” and “employment opportunities.” There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “play a crucial role.” However, spelling errors and inaccurate or unnatural word choices are noticeable, including “perfer,” “inspite,” “eleminating” and “diseal.” Some collocations are awkward, such as “reduce the unemployment from societies” and “the quality of things get better.” These choices sometimes make the argument less precise, even though the general meaning remains understandable. Check spelling carefully and learn common word partnerships for discussing prices, production, jobs and consumer choices.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including cause-and-effect structures with “because” and “as a result,” and a relative clause in “people that are low in price.” The overall meaning is usually recoverable, but some sentence structures and grammatical forms are inaccurate. For example, “local people start to manufacturing” needs a correctly formed verb pattern, while “the quality of things get better” has a subject–verb agreement error. There are also punctuation and spacing problems, such as the missing space after “society.” and “societies;consequentally.” Work on verb forms after infinitives, agreement with singular subjects, and sentence boundaries. More accurate control of these patterns would make your reasoning easier to follow.
