Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You give a clear overall view that buying locally is positive, and you offer relevant reasons: supporting local businesses, access to delivery and warranties, and greater trust in familiar sellers. The Punjab example about farmers supplying milk also helps make one point concrete. However, the task asks both why consumers choose local goods and whether this is positive or negative; the reasons are listed but not sufficiently explained, and the positive effects are asserted more than evaluated. The final paragraph introduces advertising and quality awareness without clearly connecting them to your argument. The response also falls 24 words short of the required minimum, limiting the space available to develop and support your ideas. Explain each reason with a clear cause-and-effect link and a more specific example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

Your response has an introduction, separate body paragraphs and a conclusion, and signposts such as “Firstly,” “Secondly” and “In conclusion” help readers identify the main stages. The ideas are generally grouped by reason, including local support and trust. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the point about home delivery and warranties shifts quickly to international businesses being distant, then to customers feeling safe. The final paragraph also adds a new point about advertisements rather than drawing together the earlier reasons. Some linking phrases, including “To explicate it” and “Last but not the least,” feel mechanical or do not clearly show the relationship between ideas. Use simpler, more precise transitions and make each paragraph develop one central point in a logical sequence.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “local business,” “international,” “reliable price” and “emotional sentimental,” and you use examples connected to agriculture and dairy farming. However, the range is limited and several spelling, word-form and collocation errors make parts difficult to understand, such as “instade,” “purchages goods,” “wrantry benefits” and “trust on over sea goods.” Some expressions are also unnatural, including “emotional sentimental drive them” and “far from ground reailty.” These issues fit a response where vocabulary is sufficient to communicate basic ideas but errors are noticeable. Build a bank of accurate topic phrases and check spelling and natural word combinations; for example, use “support local businesses” and “trust locally produced goods.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use some simple sentences and attempt longer structures, for example, “While it is true that every topic has its own set of positive and negatives” and “For instance, customers feel safe when they know that saler one of them.” However, complex attempts are often incomplete or faulty, and frequent errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles and punctuation can interrupt understanding. Examples include the fragment beginning “While it is true,” “who runs local business are one of us,” and “local business also provide.” Several sentences also run ideas together without clear punctuation. Practise writing complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check singular/plural agreement and articles. Reading each sentence aloud and separating connected ideas with full stops will improve accuracy and clarity.
