Student answer (Band 5.0)

In some cities of many coutries people prefer to purchase the local made product than those items that countries import form others countries. This trend has been increasing day by day and become controversal issue. while many people are in this favour, others opose this notion.I think it is positive due many and few drawbacks will be discussed in following paragraphs. On the one hand, people who support the idea of, use of locally produced produsts say that it is most economical for local industies, because if they incourage the loacl items ,local business will boast up,and it will better for development of their cities as well their country. In this way local businessmen will take major part in total GDP of the countries, and the economy of their countries will be more stronger in the world.Secondly, the budget for cities will adequately increased, thus public services will inceased. By this I mean that more shools.hospitals and road for population, And, off course more jobs for people. The growth of countries is determind by is development and people's satisfaction. In addition, last but least point of view is that local people will get more jobs in there cities and they have not move in other cities in search of employment,In this way their mental satisfaction will and they will perform better in their field of work. On the other side people who hold the view thah it is negative trend explain that in more better quality of things will not be available to them. In conclusion, I think to permote over homeland is better permote worker of other countries.having said that i think that it depend on the mind set of people to which point of view they accept.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You give a clear overall preference for locally produced goods and offer relevant reasons, especially support for local businesses, employment and public services. However, the task asks both why consumers choose local goods and whether this is a positive or negative trend. Most of your discussion explains possible benefits to the economy and workers, rather than directly explaining consumers’ motivations, such as freshness, trust, lower transport impact or supporting local producers. The negative view is only briefly mentioned through the claim that better-quality goods may be unavailable, and it is not explained or weighed against your position. Develop the reasons from the consumer’s perspective and support both sides with specific examples to make the response more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

Your response has an introduction, a main paragraph presenting benefits, a short paragraph introducing a drawback, and a conclusion, so there is some basic organisation. Linking phrases such as “On the one hand,” “Secondly,” and “In conclusion” help signal the structure. However, progression is limited: the main paragraph combines several claims about business, GDP, public services and employment without clearly separating or developing them. The opposing paragraph is only one sentence, and the conclusion introduces an unclear comparison rather than neatly summarising the argument. Some connectors are awkward or inaccurate, and sentence boundaries are often unclear. Use focused paragraphs, connect each reason to the consumer’s choice, and make the contrast and final position explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “locally produced products,” “public services,” “GDP,” and “employment,” and you use some topic-related expressions such as “in search of employment.” This gives you a basic range for discussing the issue. However, spelling errors and inaccurate or unnatural word combinations are frequent and sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow: examples include “local made product,” “economical for local industries,” “boast up,” and “permote over homeland.” Several words are also repeated, particularly “local” and “people.” Check spelling carefully and learn common collocations, such as “support local businesses,” “boost the local economy,” and “higher-quality products.” More precise vocabulary would make your ideas clearer.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a conditional structure in “if they encourage the local items, local business will…,” and you use clauses to explain consequences. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors in sentence construction, agreement, articles and punctuation can make the argument hard to follow. For example, “it is positive due many and few drawbacks will be discussed” lacks a clear grammatical connection, while “the economy…will be more stronger” has an incorrect comparative form. Capitalisation and sentence boundaries are also inconsistent, as in “while many people…” and the run-on sequence about schools, hospitals and roads. Practise accurate sentence patterns and punctuation before adding more complexity.
