Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You identify a relevant reason for buying local goods—confidence in their reliability and quality—and state that you view the trend positively. However, the response addresses the task only partially: it does not explain the positive effects on the economy that the introduction promises, and the cultural benefit is mentioned but not explained. The reason about hygiene and quality is also asserted rather than supported with a specific example or fuller explanation. Most importantly, the response is 120 words, so it does not meet the required minimum of 250 words; this leaves both the reasons and your evaluation substantially underdeveloped. To improve, explain at least two reasons and develop the positive or negative effects with relevant examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

There is a basic attempt to organise the response: an opening paragraph introduces the topic and position, followed by a paragraph beginning “On the one hand” that develops one reason. This gives the reader some sense of direction. However, the essay stops before the argument can progress, and the promised discussion of the economy and cultural connection is not developed. Some links are also awkward or unclear, such as “we will discuss this in this essay and It bring positive trend,” while the transition “On the one hand” suggests a contrasting point that never follows. Build a clear sequence of paragraphs—reasons, then evaluation—and use linking phrases only when their relationship between ideas is clear.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “local products,” “imported products,” “consumer market,” and “hygiene and quality.” These choices show some awareness of the subject, but the range is limited and several noticeable spelling, word-form, and collocation errors make parts difficult to understand. Examples include “Consumeraziation,” “realibity,” “manfactured,” and “rate of sell.” Phrases such as “their sources are comes from organic” are also unclear in meaning. Aim to use accurate, natural combinations and check spelling carefully; for instance, explain whether you mean locally sourced ingredients or locally made goods. Developing more precise vocabulary for economic and cultural effects would also help you express the full task.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response attempts both simple statements and longer sentences, including “It not only would increases their rate of sell but also help them make valuable place in the consumer market.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “many consumers more relaying to purchase” lacks a correctly formed main verb, and “their sources are comes” combines incompatible verb forms. The opening also joins several ideas with punctuation and capitalisation problems. Practise building accurate subject–verb sentences first, then add clauses using “because,” “which,” or “not only…but also” while checking that each verb agrees with its subject.
