Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both questions by giving reasons for buying locally and stating that you see this as a positive trend. Employment is the clearest reason: you explain that local purchases can support workers and their families. You also mention being able to inspect product quality and receive goods promptly. However, these points are only partly developed, and the second reason shifts between consumers and shopkeepers without clearly explaining how it motivates consumers. The conclusion repeats the benefits rather than adding a final insight. To strengthen the response, explain the cause-and-effect links more precisely and support each reason with a specific, relevant example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, so the reader can identify its basic structure. The ideas are grouped broadly by reason, and signposts such as “Furthermore” and “To be conclude” indicate movement between sections. However, progression within paragraphs is often repetitive: the first body paragraph returns several times to employment, income and family lifestyle without developing a distinct sequence. Some links are unclear, especially “Because of that it will be enhance in the work,” which does not clearly connect to the preceding point. Use fewer formulaic transitions and make each sentence build directly on the previous one, with clear references to who is buying or supplying the goods.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “local area,” “employment,” “quality of the product” and “delivery.” However, the range is limited and several phrases are repetitive or imprecise, such as “getting the goods,” “good life” and “products from local area.” Some word combinations sound unnatural, which can make the intended meaning less clear. Aim for more precise expressions and vary repeated wording—for example, distinguish between consumers purchasing locally made goods and retailers sourcing from local suppliers. More accurate collocations would help you explain the economic and practical benefits with greater clarity.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including conditional structures such as “if the consumers are getting the goods from the local area…” and clauses introduced by “rather than.” However, complex sentences are often not controlled accurately, and errors occur frequently enough to affect clarity. Examples include “There are numerous reason,” “I believe this have,” and “it will be enhance,” which show problems with agreement and verb forms. Sentence boundaries and punctuation also need attention, particularly in the long first body paragraph. Practise building accurate sentences with one main idea, checking subject–verb agreement, articles and verb forms before adding subordinate clauses.
