Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
You have addressed all three bullet points required by the prompt. You clearly stated your experience, explained the benefits of your transfer, and expressed your commitment to the company. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat brief. For example, while you mention learning communication and organization skills, you could have elaborated more on how these specific skills would translate to the new department. The tone is appropriate for a formal letter, and your purpose is clear throughout the response. To reach a higher band, ensure that your supporting details are more fully extended to demonstrate a deeper engagement with the task requirements.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.5
The letter is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a closing. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'Additionally', and 'The primary reason' to link your ideas. However, the flow between some sentences feels slightly mechanical. Paragraphing is used correctly to separate the different requirements of the task. To improve, try to vary your linking words and ensure that the transition between your current role and your future aspirations is smoother. Overall, the message is easy to follow, and the structure supports the reader's understanding of your request.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'proficient', 'ambience', and 'cooperative'. There are some minor errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'provide a plenty benefits' (should be 'provides plenty of benefits') and 'at same branch' (should be 'at the same branch'). While the vocabulary is sufficient to convey your meaning clearly, it lacks the precision and flexibility required for higher bands. Incorporating more sophisticated collocations and ensuring grammatical accuracy in your word usage would help elevate your score in this criterion.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is appropriate for this task. There are some grammatical errors present, such as 'for last 2 years' (missing 'the'), 'this specific branch provide' (subject-verb agreement error), and 'a plenty benefits' (incorrect article usage). Despite these errors, your meaning is always clear, and the mistakes do not impede communication. To improve, focus on proofreading for small errors like articles and subject-verb agreement. Increasing the variety of your complex sentence structures would also help demonstrate a wider grammatical range.
