Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses all three bullet points of the prompt: it mentions experience gained, suggests benefits to the company, and explains the desire to stay. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. For instance, the explanation of how the company would benefit is vague, relying on general phrases like 'new skill i learning'. To reach a higher band, the ideas need to be more fully extended with specific examples of how your current skills would translate to the new department. The tone is generally appropriate for a formal letter, though the structure could be more professional.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the progression of ideas. However, the use of cohesive devices is quite limited and sometimes mechanical. Phrases like 'and other' or 'so i request you' are used repeatedly, which makes the flow feel a bit disjointed. There is a lack of sophisticated linking words to connect sentences and ideas smoothly. Improving the use of transition signals (e.g., 'consequently', 'furthermore', 'in addition') would significantly enhance the logical flow of the letter.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but remains quite basic and repetitive. You use words like 'company', 'department', and 'job' frequently without much variation. There are also some issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'moving or shifted for other departments' and 'my creativities' towards the social media'. To improve, you should aim to use more precise professional terminology related to your field and avoid repeating the same basic nouns and verbs throughout the text.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The response contains a mix of simple sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Issues include incorrect verb tenses ('i have learn'), missing articles ('in company department'), and awkward phrasing ('how the one post content'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of commas and capitalization. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar and sentence construction prevents the text from reaching a higher band. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and consistent tense usage is essential.
