Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

You have addressed all three bullet points required by the prompt: describing your current learning, suggesting benefits for the company, and explaining your desire to stay. Your tone is appropriate for a professional letter. However, the development of your ideas is somewhat limited. For example, when discussing how the company would benefit from your move, you mention being 'confident' and 'capable,' but you could have provided more specific details on how your existing MRI experience would immediately increase departmental efficiency or reduce training costs. To reach a higher band, ensure that your arguments are fully extended with concrete examples rather than just stating your intentions.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The letter is logically organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'More importantly,' 'Since,' and 'Also.' However, some transitions feel a bit mechanical or repetitive, particularly the frequent use of 'Also' to start sentences. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the phrase 'the employee policies that our company has is more intimidating,' where the word 'intimidating' seems to be a misuse of vocabulary rather than a logical link to the previous sentence. Improving the variety of linking words would enhance the flow.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for this task, using industry-specific terms like 'fluoroscopy,' 'radiographer,' and 'protocols.' However, there are several instances of word-choice errors that affect precision. For example, you wrote that company policies are 'intimidating,' which likely means 'impressive' or 'attractive' in this context. There are also minor spelling errors such as 'intrest,' 'leanred,' 'kowledge,' and 'gratefull.' While these do not prevent the reader from understanding your message, they indicate a need for more careful proofreading and a wider range of precise, professional vocabulary to express your thoughts more effectively.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is appropriate for this task. However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. These include subject-verb agreement issues (e.g., 'the employee policies... is'), missing articles (e.g., 'in MRI department'), and punctuation errors (e.g., 'sub departments such as , fluoroscopy'). You also have some run-on sentences and issues with verb tense consistency. While these errors rarely impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and article usage would significantly improve your accuracy.
