Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
You have addressed all three bullet points required by the prompt. You mentioned your learning in the current role, suggested how the company would benefit from your transfer, and explained your desire to stay. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, while you mention your Master's degree, you do not explicitly link how your new skills in digital media would specifically add value to a different department. The tone is generally appropriate for a formal letter, though it could be more professional. To improve, ensure that your arguments are more fully extended rather than just stated.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The letter follows a logical structure with clear paragraphing. You use some cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'In addition to that', and 'Moreover' to link your ideas. However, the flow is occasionally interrupted by awkward phrasing, such as 'I wish if you have any opportunity'. The referencing is sometimes unclear, and the transition between the mention of your skills and the request for a transfer is a bit abrupt. Improving the variety of your linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences would help elevate your score in this area.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
Your vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your message clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'content creation', 'advertisements', and 'campaigns'. However, there are several instances of unnatural word choice and minor errors, such as 'request regarding to switch' instead of 'request to switch' and 'way more better' which is grammatically incorrect and stylistically weak. You also repeat the word 'beneficial' and 'company' frequently. Expanding your range of synonyms and focusing on more precise collocations would improve your lexical score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include 'I have done my Masters... where I learn different softwares' (should be 'learned' and 'software' is uncountable), 'I wish if you have' (should be 'I would like to know if you have'), and 'an as well as'. These errors are noticeable and occasionally distract the reader, though they do not prevent the overall meaning from being understood. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and correct tense usage will help you achieve a higher band score.
