Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
The response successfully covers all parts of the prompt. You state what you have learned in your present job, specifically mentioning technical terms, software usage, and working in an organised way. You suggest company benefits by explaining that you are already aware of the workflow and can contribute with minimal training. Finally, you explain why you do not wish to leave the company by highlighting your foundational experience and the open working environment. Your tone is appropriately professional and polite for a workplace letter. All bullet points are fully addressed, and the position is clear throughout the text, earning a solid band score for this criterion.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The letter exhibits clear logical organisation with an appropriate greeting and sign-off. Paragraphing is used sufficiently to separate distinct points, such as your current learning, company benefits, and reasons for staying. Cohesive devices are generally present, using terms like 'In my current role', 'To add', and 'As a result'. However, some cohesive links feel a bit repetitive or slightly mechanical, and referencing is occasionally imprecise. Overall, the ideas progress logically and the letter is easy to follow from start to finish.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, with some attempts at less common lexical items such as 'escalated' (spelled 'excelrated'), 'workflow', and 'foundational experience'. There are several spelling and word-choice errors, such as 'blisterpack' (needs spacing), 'techincal', 'envornment', 'organised way', and 'immigrant' (where 'foreigner' or 'outsider' would fit better contextually). Despite these noticeable errors, the meaning is generally clear and communication is not impeded. You demonstrate a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey your message effectively.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including subordinate clauses such as 'As I am aware about the work flow of the department, i can contibute to the role with minimal training.' There are several grammatical inaccuracies and punctuation errors throughout the text, such as missing articles ('in blisterpack department'), incorrect prepositions ('in pharmacy since last two years'), and capitalization errors (e.g., 'i' instead of 'I'). However, these errors do not impede communication, and you maintain reasonable control over basic sentence structures.
