Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.5

The response attempts to cover all bullet points in the prompt, but the execution falls short of fully satisfying the requirements. For instance, the bullet asking you to explain why you do not wish to leave the company is misinterpreted; instead of explaining why you want to stay at the company while moving departments, you state that you are resigning to move to another country ('Therefore, I am resigning from this voaction'). This directly contradicts the premise of the letter and the earlier statement 'I reallly enjoy this firm'. Consequently, the key purpose of the letter—requesting an internal transfer while remaining with the organisation—is lost due to contradictory and underdeveloped ideas, corresponding to a Band 4.5 or 5.0.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0

The logical progression of ideas is frequently disrupted throughout the text. Paragraphing is attempted, but sentences within paragraphs often lack logical connection. For example, the transition from discussing office transport and the business environment to abruptly announcing a resignation and a move to another country is jarring and confusing. Cohesive devices are minimal and often misused, such as the inaccurate use of 'Therefore' to link unrelated thoughts. Referencing is also faulty ('her trancefor in the another country'). The overall arrangement lacks clear overall progression and coherent structure, placing it squarely at Band 4.0.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.0

The vocabulary is extremely basic and repetitive, with frequent spelling and word-choice errors that strain the reader's comprehension. Examples of non-standard usage and severe spelling mistakes include 'writteing' for writing, 'informe' for inform, 'tranceport' for transport, 'inverment' for environment, 'famouse' for famous, 'individuales' for individuals, 'accupation' for occupation, and 'voaction' for vocation. There is a lack of control over common lexical items, and attempts at less common vocabulary result in total breakdown. This meets the criteria for Band 4.0.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0

Grammatical control is very weak, with a severely limited range of sentence structures. Almost every sentence contains major errors in tense, subject-verb agreement, punctuation, and clause structure. Examples include 'I am writteing this letter to informe you that what I have idea from my present job', 'I can understand the all thinks very easily', and 'My mother is a teacher her trancefor in the another country'. Punctuation is haphazard, with excessive spacing and misplaced commas. Errors are frequent and often distort the intended meaning, reflecting the Band 4.0 descriptors.
