Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response covers all three bullet points required in the prompt to some extent, mentioning past learning, company benefits, and a desire to stay. However, the ideas are under-developed, and the tone is sometimes overly informal or unnatural. Furthermore, the response falls short of the minimum word count requirement, containing only 126 words instead of the required 150 words. This under-length impacts the overall development of the task. Phrases like 'I AM WRITING A LETTER' are overly mechanical and fail to fully address the contextual nuances of a professional internal transfer request.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The letter lacks proper paragraphing, as it is written in a single block of text or poorly divided chunks with excessive capitalization and punctuation errors. Cohesive devices are minimal and mechanical, relying heavily on simple connectors like 'THEN' or 'MOREOVER', which are misspelled or misused. The logical progression of ideas is hindered by abrupt transitions between sentences, such as jumping from job duties to personal traits without adequate linking. Consequently, the overall structure is difficult to follow smoothly.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

The vocabulary used is very basic and repetitive, with frequent misspellings and incorrect word choices throughout the text. Examples include 'THIER' instead of 'their', 'SENCIRABLE' instead of 'sensible' or 'sincere', and 'NKEW' instead of 'knew'. The student attempts less common phrases like 'career development' or 'guidlines' but misapplies them or spells them incorrectly, which restricts the lexical range to a limited and minimally adequate level that occasionally strains comprehension.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

Grammatical control is weak, with frequent errors in tense usage, subject-verb agreement, and sentence structure. Examples include 'COULD NOT LEARNT THIER SINCE LAST 2 YEARS' and 'THERE IS NO LEFT WHICH I AM NOT KNEW ABOUT THAT'. The text relies almost entirely on basic sentence patterns, and attempts at more complex structures result in severe errors that impede communication. Additionally, the entire response is written in ALL CAPS, which violates standard punctuation and capitalization conventions.
