Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response successfully covers all the bullet points outlined in the prompt. The writer mentions what has been learned in their present job, specifically noting that they have 'learnd how to deal with clients' over the past two years. Suggestions are made regarding how the company would benefit, such as giving them a chance to prove themselves because they have completed a programming course. Furthermore, the writer explains why they do not wish to leave the company by highlighting satisfaction with the work environment and the proximity of the office to their residence. Although some of the ideas are slightly basic and lack full extension, all three requirements of the task are adequately addressed, earning a Band 6.0.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The letter maintains a coherent overall arrangement and follows a logical structure with a clear greeting and sign-off, although the paragraphing could be improved to group related ideas more effectively. Cohesive devices are occasionally used, such as 'Furthermore' and 'Thus', but some transitions feel mechanical or overly simple. Referencing is generally clear, though sentences like 'I am writing this letter to tell that...' are repetitive in their structural progression. Overall, the flow of the letter is clear enough to be easily understood by the reader, placing it at a Band 6.0.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, but it is somewhat limited and repetitive. The student uses basic phrases like 'want a satisfactory job', 'work hard', and 'good experience'. There are noticeable spelling and word choice errors, such as 'compeleted' instead of completed, 'dovelopment' instead of development, 'fullfil' instead of fulfill, and 'piont' instead of point. While these errors do not impede overall communication, they restrict the lexical score. The attempt to use less common items like 'attested certificates' shows an effort, but overall vocabulary control sits firmly at a Band 5.0.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The letter demonstrates a mix of simple and some complex sentence forms, such as 'I suggest you to give me a chance to prove my self' and 'Thus I have a lot facilities because of which I do not want to leave the company.' However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including tense issues ('I had work' instead of I have worked), missing prepositions, and incorrect verb complementation ('suggest you to give me' instead of suggest that you give me). Punctuation and article usage also show recurrent flaws. These errors occasionally cause difficulty or require rereading, aligning the grammar with a Band 5.0.
