Student answer (Band 5.0)
Dear Sir,
I'm convinced that within two years of time period this job has given me remarkably amazing benefits. I have ameliorate and expand my experience working with this company. The company has taught me to enable the working class individuals as a result I have learned great team building skills that sustain and escalate the company's value and sales.
The notion of transferring me to another facility of the company would boost our sales and expand our branches to different countries. I can easily rectify the damage that has been done to the company by my teamworking skills with other professionals.
I have put my 2 years into this company helping and generating it to better one of the monumentel companies. following that I'd love to boost the sales of this company and sell the goods in extensive amount helping out consumers and purchases.
Looking forward to your response.
Sincerely Yours
Zainab Imran

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You attempt all three requested points: you mention learning “great team building skills,” propose that a transfer could “boost our sales,” and explain that you have invested two years in the company and want to continue contributing. However, the learning point is vague, and the benefit of moving departments is not clearly connected to a specific role or your skills. The reason for staying is also implied rather than directly explained; for example, you could say that you value the company’s culture or want to build your career there. The purpose of the letter is understandable, but the ideas remain limited and under-developed, and your position about the transfer is not consistently clear.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The letter has a recognisable opening, several body paragraphs and a closing, and the ideas broadly follow the task’s sequence. However, progression between points is not always clear. The second paragraph shifts from transferring departments to expanding branches in other countries, while the next paragraph repeats the aim of boosting sales without explaining how the move would achieve it. Linking expressions such as “following that” do not clearly show the relationship between ideas, and the final request for a response does not explicitly restate what you are asking your manager to consider. Organise the body around the three bullet points and use clear links between your experience, the proposed transfer and your reason for staying.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt a range of vocabulary, including “team building skills,” “transferring,” “rectify” and “extensive,” and the general topic is usually clear. However, several choices are inaccurate or unnatural in context, such as “remarkably amazing benefits,” “enable the working class individuals,” and “damage that has been done to the company.” “Monumentel” is also misspelled, and “purchases” does not fit naturally where you appear to mean customers. These choices sometimes make your intended meaning difficult to follow. Aim for precise, professional language rather than adding elaborate words: describe the skills you have developed and explain specifically how they could support the new department.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use both simple statements and longer sentences, including a clause beginning “The notion of transferring me…” and a sentence explaining what the company has taught you. However, attempts at longer structures are often faulty, and grammatical errors can make the message harder to understand. For example, “within two years of time period” has an unclear time construction, while “I have ameliorate and expand my experience” uses an incorrect verb form after “have.” The sentence beginning “The company has taught me…” also lacks clear grammatical control in its connection between enabling people and learning skills. Capitalisation after the full stop in “companies. following” and punctuation around the closing need attention. Use shorter, controlled sentences before attempting more complex ones.
