Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address the three requested points: you mention skills learned, propose moving into a supervisory role, and give reasons for staying with the company. However, the benefits to the company are only briefly suggested, and the claim that you can handle payments and orders is not clearly connected to how your experience would help the new department. Your reasons for remaining—co-operative staff and a good environment—are also under-developed. The request is understandable, but the letter is short of the required minimum of 150 words, so there is limited space to explain and support your ideas. Develop each point with specific examples, such as how your teamwork or customer-service experience would benefit the department, and state your request more clearly.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The letter has a generally understandable order: it introduces the request, describes skills, suggests a possible role, and explains why you want to stay. This gives the reader a coherent overall arrangement. However, the ideas are compressed into one main block, and transitions such as “In the end” do not clearly signal the relationship between the points. The sentence beginning “I would recommend to you in future” combines the proposed move, examples of duties, and your experience without clear separation. Use separate paragraphs for your request, relevant experience and company benefits, and reasons for staying. Simple links such as “In addition” and “This experience would help the department because…” would make the progression clearer and the connections less mechanical.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant vocabulary for the situation, including “career development,” “time management,” “teamwork,” and “supervisor,” so the main message can be understood. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or repetitive. “Cooperation” is not the right word for the company, while “co-operative” is repeated; “communication skill” would be more natural as “communication skills.” The phrase “do these job duties” is also awkward, and “environment … is very well” uses the wrong form. Choose precise workplace expressions and vary your wording—for example, describe your customer-service experience and explain how it could contribute to the new department. Check spelling and word forms before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

Your sentences communicate the basic request, and you attempt to connect ideas using clauses such as “because now I feel…” and “due to my experience.” However, the range of sentence structures is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences awkward or difficult to follow. For example, “I would recommend to you in future I can do work as supervisor” lacks a clear grammatical structure; “I can do these job duties” has a number-agreement problem; and “staff is very co-operative. and environment…” has faulty punctuation and sentence construction. Practise forming a clear request with a main clause, then use accurate supporting clauses. Also check articles, plurals, and sentence boundaries, such as “a supervisor” and “communication skills.”
