Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address all three required points and make your purpose clear: you want to move departments while remaining with the company. You mention learning communication skills and how to deal with employees and customers, and you explain that the company offers benefits, a bonus, and a good salary, alongside your relationships with colleagues. The benefit to the company is less fully explained: knowing where it makes profits or losses is relevant, but the connection between that knowledge and how you would contribute in a new department remains unclear. Develop this with a specific example of a skill or insight you could apply there. A more explicit, professional request would also make your position clearer and more persuasive.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The letter has a coherent overall arrangement: it opens with the request, then covers what you have learned, the company’s potential benefit, and your reasons for staying. Paragraphing helps the reader follow these main points, and signposts such as “Firstly,” “Furthermore,” and “However” show the intended progression. Some connections are mechanical, though, and the profit-and-loss explanation repeats the idea that you know the company without clearly linking it to a practical contribution. The closing request is also abrupt. Use clearer links between each claim and its explanation, and finish with a courteous sentence that refers directly to the proposed transfer. This would make the progression smoother and the relationships between ideas easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
Your vocabulary is sufficient to communicate the main message, with relevant terms such as “communication skills,” “employees,” “customers,” “bonus,” and “salary.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations sound unnatural, which reduces precision. For example, “You can interest on me” does not clearly express confidence in your suitability, while “good bounding” appears to mean a positive relationship with colleagues. “Where company going losses” is also an unclear way to describe areas making losses. Choose more precise workplace language, such as “contribute to the department,” “strong working relationships,” and “areas operating at a loss.” Vary repeated general words such as “company” and “gives” where possible.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use a mixture of short statements and longer sentences, and the reader can generally understand your main points. Some grammatical errors remain, particularly in verb forms, articles, and sentence construction. For instance, “I learn many things” needs a past-tense form, and “how deals with employees” is missing a subject and an appropriate verb structure. In “I am working from last two years,” the tense and time expression need correction. There are also errors in “it’s also set the my future” and “I request you accept my letter.” Practise forming accurate clauses after phrases such as “I have learned” and “I would like to request,” while checking articles and punctuation. More accurate control would make the letter sound more professional.
