Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address the main situation and give a reason for wanting to remain with the company, mentioning your family and your relationships with co-workers. However, the task is only partially covered: you do not make a clear, specific request to transfer, and the benefit to the company is not explained. The statement that moving would help you improve your skills focuses on your own development rather than how the employer would gain. Your learning in the truck-driver role is also described very generally as “different things” and “lots of skills.” Develop each point with concrete examples, and clearly explain how your experience could be useful in the new department.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is some organisation: the response moves from your current job to the possible transfer and then to your reasons for staying. However, the progression is not consistently clear, and the ideas are crowded into long, loosely connected sections. The second paragraph shifts between the company’s benefit, your skills, and uncertainty about which department, while the final paragraph repeats the importance of relationships without clearly separating the reasons. Linking phrases such as “however” and “so that” are attempted, but their connections are sometimes unclear. Use separate, focused paragraphs for what you learned, the proposed transfer and its benefit, and why you want to stay; make each paragraph’s main point explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some vocabulary relevant to the situation, including “truck driver,” “department,” “career,” “skills,” and “co-worker.” However, the range is limited and several phrases are vague or inaccurately combined, which can make your meaning difficult to follow. For example, “learned different things” and “lots of skills” do not specify your experience, while “very significant benefit from moving” does not clearly express the company’s advantage. There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “becuase,” “compay,” and “especialy.” Choose precise terms for your duties and transferable abilities, and check spelling and common word combinations before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response attempts to connect ideas in longer sentences, but the range of structures is limited and these attempts often contain errors that make relationships between ideas hard to understand. For example, “I have been learned” uses an incorrect verb form, and “because i have learning different things” has an inaccurate tense construction. Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also weak: the final section runs several ideas together, and the opening “Dear, Sir/mMadam” is not correctly punctuated. Practise forming clear simple sentences first, then add subordinate clauses accurately. Check subject–verb patterns, verb forms, capitalisation, and full stops so that each sentence communicates one complete idea.
