Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address all three required points and maintain a clear, appropriate purpose: you request a transfer, describe skills learned, explain how your experience could help another team, and give reasons for staying with the company. The examples of teamwork, communication and time management make the learning point relevant. The benefit to the company is also stated through guiding colleagues and bringing new ideas, though this could be developed with a more specific example of how your current experience would help the new department. Your reasons for remaining are clear but somewhat general. The response already shows a clear position and covers the task; fuller support and more precise detail would make the ideas more convincing and complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter has a coherent overall arrangement: it opens with the request, then covers learning, potential benefits, and reasons for staying before closing politely. Paragraphing helps the reader follow these stages, and links such as “During these years,” “I also,” and “I do not want to leave” signal the relationships between ideas. Some connections are mechanical or unclear, however. For example, “It will also help me to gain new skills and valuable experience, more flexible” does not clearly connect the final idea to the sentence. The learning points are also presented as a list rather than developed in a clear sequence. Use more precise links and ensure each paragraph moves smoothly from its main point to supporting detail.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant vocabulary for a workplace letter, including “transfer,” “time management,” “problem-solving,” “valuable experience,” and “supportive environment.” These choices communicate the main ideas, but the range is limited and several noticeable spelling, word-form, or collocation errors reduce accuracy: “learnedso many thing,” “work safely,” “on give time,” and “company provide.” Some phrases are also vague, such as “more flexible,” which does not specify what would become more flexible. Aim for accurate, natural workplace expressions and check spelling carefully. More precise language to describe transferable skills and the department’s needs would help you express your ideas with greater flexibility.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response communicates its main message, but grammatical control is uneven and the sentence patterns are mostly simple, with some attempts at longer structures. Errors in verb forms, articles, prepositions, agreement, and sentence boundaries are frequent enough to make parts difficult to read. For example, “I have been working here from past two years” has an inaccurate time expression, while “I believe moving another department benefit both me and company” lacks grammatical elements needed for a complete sentence. Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent, as in lowercase “i” and spaces before commas. Practise accurate present-perfect forms and complete clauses, then proofread each sentence for subjects, verbs, articles, and punctuation.
