Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is limited. For example, the argument regarding 'role models' is somewhat unclear and lacks specific examples or logical depth. The explanation of why paparazzi photography is 'good' relies on vague points about public interest and financial gain for photographers, which are not fully explored. While the position is consistent, the supporting arguments are underdeveloped, preventing the response from reaching a higher band. To improve, you should expand on your points with concrete examples or more detailed reasoning.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion' to signal shifts in the argument. However, the internal cohesion within paragraphs is sometimes mechanical or slightly awkward, such as the phrase 'contradict that thing' or 'reached in this point'. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and the flow between sentences could be smoother. The logical progression is present but sometimes feels repetitive, particularly in the final paragraph where you restate the prompt rather than synthesizing your ideas.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'increasing common' (should be 'increasingly common'), 'in the favour of former statement' (should be 'in favor of the former'), and 'professional can earn more money' (should be 'professionals'). You rely on simple, repetitive vocabulary throughout the text. To improve, focus on using more precise terminology related to the topic, such as 'privacy intrusion', 'public scrutiny', or 'media coverage', and ensure correct word forms are used.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('some people believes'), article usage ('the celebrities'), and prepositions ('reached in this point'). While the meaning is generally clear, these persistent errors in basic grammar prevent the text from being considered error-free. To improve, focus on proofreading for subject-verb agreement and ensuring that articles are used correctly. Increasing the variety of complex structures while maintaining accuracy will also help raise your score.
