Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response is significantly under the required word count of 250 words, containing only 107 words. Consequently, the task is only partially addressed. The essay fails to discuss both sides of the argument in any meaningful depth and does not provide a clear, developed opinion. The introduction states an intention to discuss the topic, but the body paragraphs are incomplete and cut off mid-sentence. Because the response is less than half the required length, it is impossible to fully develop the ideas or provide the necessary support required for a higher band score.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay lacks a logical structure due to its incomplete nature. While there is an attempt at paragraphing, the ideas are not developed, making it difficult to follow a clear progression. Cohesive devices are used in a mechanical and sometimes incorrect way, such as 'On the one hands' and 'along slide my opinion'. The lack of completion in the second paragraph prevents the establishment of a coherent argument. To improve, ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence, supporting evidence, and a concluding thought that links back to the prompt.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive. There are several errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'coganitive' (cognitive) and 'celebratry' (celebrity). The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas effectively. The phrasing is often awkward, such as 'it could be disturbed their personal life', which hinders clarity. To improve, focus on learning collocations and using more precise academic vocabulary. Expanding your range of synonyms and ensuring correct spelling will be essential for achieving a higher score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The grammar is characterized by frequent errors that often impede communication. There are significant issues with subject-verb agreement, such as 'photographs help them to know' and 'it could be disturbed'. Sentence structures are basic and often fragmented, particularly in the second paragraph where the sentence is left unfinished. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with spaces placed incorrectly before commas. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence structures, ensuring subject-verb agreement, and practicing the correct use of complex sentences to avoid fragments.
