Student answer (Band 7.0)
Nowadays, celebrities are being photographed by professional photographers or the paparazzies wherever they go. Certain groups of people supports the way that they are being captured because they can have detailed descriptions on their personal life. On the other hand, some people opposes and stated that the photographers should not follow them. I will highlight certain points on both of the views in following paragraphs before I give my own opinion.
To begin with, these paparazzies are generating good amount of money by clicking and sharing those pictures with social media account handlers. It is undeniable that the public is more interested in celebrity's private life than their own life due some different reasons such as what they do in their free time, what type of products they are using, their personal relations with other celebrities, getting information on controversial topics, current affairs, etc. Furthermore, this way of capturing the photos can be the part of famous people's career growth because that is how they can get attention from their audience. To illustrate more, recently the daughter of Angelina Jolie became more famous than her even though she has not delivered any famous film yet, it is just because the photographers are taking and posting her random photos on Instagram.
Nonetheless, certain people suggest that the photographers should leave the celebrities alone when they are off the cameras because they also deserve private time. Furthermore, they should ask their permission before they take any random photos, because if they do not do then they are violating their privacy. Moreover, people often comments that we all are common people and it is just the professions that make us a different people and thus we should not bother anyone when they are having a personal moment of their life.
In essence, in my perspective the celebrities are often living their majority part of life on camera thus the paparazzies should not take pictures when they are off the camera and allow them live peacefully. They should only take photos when they allow and give official permission.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both views and providing a clear personal opinion. The ideas are relevant, such as the financial motivation of photographers and the ethical concerns regarding privacy. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the example of Angelina Jolie's daughter is a bit superficial and could have been better linked to the broader argument about celebrity culture. The position is consistent throughout the essay, and the conclusion effectively summarizes the writer's stance. To reach a higher band, the student should aim to provide more nuanced arguments and deeper analysis of the implications of the issue.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.5
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Each paragraph has a central topic, and the progression of ideas is generally easy to follow. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'To begin with,' 'Nonetheless,' and 'In essence,' which help guide the reader. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and there are minor issues with referencing, such as the vague use of 'they' in some sentences, which occasionally makes the antecedent unclear. Overall, the paragraphing is appropriate, and the structure supports the development of the argument effectively.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their ideas clearly. There are some attempts at less common vocabulary, such as 'undeniable' and 'controversial.' However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'generating good amount of money' (should be 'a good amount') and 'people often comments' (should be 'comment'). The term 'paparazzies' is a misspelling of 'paparazzi.' While these errors do not impede communication, they indicate a need for more precise control over word forms and collocations to reach a higher band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
The student uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors throughout the text, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('Certain groups of people supports', 'people often comments') and article usage errors ('the paparazzies', 'a different people'). While these errors are noticeable, they rarely impede the reader's understanding of the intended meaning. The punctuation is generally functional, though some sentences could be refined for better flow. To improve, the student should focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy and ensuring consistent subject-verb agreement.
