Student answer (Band 7.0)

In these days, celebrities are mostly followed by media everywhere they visit. Some people believe that it is good because fans are interested to know everything about their lives but other think that it's not right as it disturb their personal life after work. However, I believe that famous personalities should have right to enjoy their life without interference of cameras as they are working to entertain us we should also give them privacy.

To commence with the first notion, normal people become ideal for followers when they show their daily life updates with them. After become famous personality, they want to work only in limited hours just for movies or shows, otherwise want to stay hidden. Audience want to stay connected as same as first time when they stared likes you. For example, if people will not follow them, than artists can loose their identity because fans they are nothing without fans support.Apart from this, number of reporters are working in this field and making good amount of money just due to views.

On the other hand, actors also have their own life after work, which should be private. They are working for money just to make their lives better which is not possible due to photographers who reach everywhere and makes their private moment public. As a result, their purpose of good life is unfulfilled. Additionally, they are not able to live a ordinary person life because they are working to entertain public, now public want to see each sec of their lives. It means their lives are now public lives.

I think that everyone have right to enjoy their life privately, it does not matter what is their professional. Media should not follow any famous face without permission after work.

In conclusion, celebrities also have private life which should be respected by public while following them without any demand of each sec update.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0

The response addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both views and providing a clear personal opinion. The ideas are relevant, such as the public's desire for connection versus the celebrity's right to privacy. However, some arguments are slightly under-developed; for instance, the point about artists losing their identity if not followed is a bit unclear and could have been expanded with more logical reasoning. The position is consistent throughout the essay, and the conclusion effectively summarizes the main argument. To reach a higher band, ensure that each supporting point is fully explained with more depth and clarity.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. There is an overall progression of ideas from the introduction to the conclusion. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'To commence with', 'Apart from this', and 'On the other hand', though some transitions feel a bit mechanical or repetitive. Referencing is generally clear, but there are instances where the flow between sentences could be smoother. For example, the transition between the idea of fans supporting artists and the mention of reporters is somewhat abrupt. Improving the variety and naturalness of linking words would enhance the coherence of the text.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, allowing the writer to convey their meaning clearly. There are attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'famous personalities', 'interference', and 'private moment'. However, the range is somewhat limited, and there are occasional errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'disturb their personal life' (should be 'disturbs') and 'stared likes you' (likely meant 'started liking you'). The repetition of basic words like 'life' and 'work' suggests a need for a wider range of synonyms to demonstrate more flexibility and precision in expressing ideas.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'other think', 'everyone have right'), article usage, and pluralization (e.g., 'a ordinary person life'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with some run-on sentences and missing commas. These errors do not typically impede communication, but they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. To improve, focus on proofreading for basic agreement and ensuring that complex sentences are constructed with correct grammatical markers.
