Student answer (Band 7.0)
In this modern era, photography became the trend. celebrities and other famous people are photographed by professional photographers everywhere they go. Some people say that this is a good thing because the public are interested in their personal and professional life. While, others believe that photographers are wrong to follow famous people. I will discuss both views and give my opinion.
On the one hand, people love to hear about the celebrities and famous person's lifestyle. They want to know where they are going and what things they are doing as people like to follow their activities. Specially youngsters would like to follow the famous people's routine. For instance, teenagers want to try the food famous people are having, they want to dress up like them, they want to look like them. Moreover, for some people famous person is an ideal for them. They want to become like that person therefore they tried to learn and check everything abut them from the news channel or form the social media. For example, In India people are interested in the famous cricketer Virat Kohli's personal and professional life because there are many teenagers want to become like him. Furthermore, more people are interested in these kind of content, therefore photographers can earn handsome amount of money by taking pictures of famous people.
On the other side, Some people believe that this is a wrong because people should give the personal space to the celebrities and other famous people. everybody have right to live their own life, by following the famous people everywhere they go and by taking their photographs, photographer are invading the personal rights of these people. Moreover, it can also create a negative influence on young people, as instead of focusing on study and work they spend time to see these kind of content and the photographs. For example, young people are addictive of the social media nowadays because of the easily available information related their famous ideal. There are 400 million plus followers of the Virat Kohli on Instagram and people love to see each activities and post of him instead working on the significant skills.
In my opinion, There are merits of taking photographs of famous people, however photographer should be aware of the famous people personal rights and invading these should be penalize.
In conclusion, famous people are photographed often due to interest of the people, but as per my view, every person has a right to live their own life privately as many famous people want to spend time with their family in private thus photographers shouldn't invade the privacy of celebrity.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both views and providing a clear personal opinion. The ideas are relevant, such as the public's interest in celebrity lifestyles versus the right to privacy. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat repetitive, particularly the focus on Virat Kohli, which is used in both body paragraphs. To reach a higher band, ensure that arguments are distinct and fully explored without relying on the same example twice. The position is consistent throughout, though the conclusion could be more integrated with the main body arguments.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs. There is a progression of ideas from the introduction to the conclusion. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'On the one hand,' 'Moreover,' and 'In conclusion,' which help guide the reader. However, some transitions feel a bit mechanical, and there are minor issues with referencing and sentence-level flow. For instance, the transition between the discussion of social media and the specific example of Virat Kohli could be smoother. Overall, the paragraphing is appropriate and contributes to the clarity of the argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their ideas clearly. There are attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'invading the personal rights' and 'negative influence.' However, there are several instances of word-choice errors and awkward phrasing, such as 'famous person is an ideal for them' instead of 'a role model,' and 'addictive of the social media' instead of 'addicted to.' The range is sufficient to communicate the message, but more precise and varied collocations would be needed for a higher score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement ('everybody have right'), article usage ('the famous person'), and prepositional errors ('addictive of'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with some run-on sentences and unnecessary capitalization. While these errors do not impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy would significantly improve the quality of the writing.
