Student answer (Band 6.0)
In the present time, celebrities are followed by professional photographers everywhere they go for capturing their photos. Some people thinks this is fine, as their fans are intersted in their living style. However, some of them thinks that this is very wrong. This essay will articulate both views and as far as I am concerned, I am in favor of the latter notion.
Commencing with the former notion, It is good for their fans. To explain this, fans are always love to know more about their favourite celebrities and they love to follow their lifestyles. For exmple, In Asian countries, youngsters considers these celebrities as their role models and they want to follow their footprints to become successful in their lives. Thus, most of the information they get about these famous people with the help of these photographers.
Shifting towards the latter view, this thing is against their private life. To elaborate this, most of these celebrities cannot enjoy their private life like the normal people, as these photographers are following them everywhere. For instance, Most of the famous people in the world, always cover their face with some kind of materials and they try to hide themselves in the public places, so that no one can follow them. Thus, this practice is Invasion of their privacy.
Inconclusion, although photographers love to take pictures and follow the famous people, yet I believe that it is a bad practice as they cannot enjoy their private life.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited, and the essay falls slightly short of the 250-word minimum requirement. While the main points regarding fan interest and privacy are relevant, they could be expanded with more depth or specific, nuanced examples to reach a higher band. The conclusion is brief and does not fully synthesize the arguments presented. To improve, ensure that each body paragraph provides a more thorough exploration of the implications of the issue rather than just stating the points.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas from the introduction to the conclusion. Cohesive devices such as 'Commencing with', 'Shifting towards', and 'Inconclusion' are used to signal the structure. However, some transitions are slightly mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally repetitive. The paragraphing is appropriate, and the overall flow is easy to follow, though the connection between sentences within paragraphs could be smoother to achieve a more natural, sophisticated feel.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their ideas clearly. There are some attempts at topic-specific vocabulary, such as 'articulate', 'notion', and 'invasion of their privacy'. However, there are minor errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'living style' instead of 'lifestyle' and 'Inconclusion' (which should be two words). The range is somewhat limited, and more precise or academic synonyms would elevate the score. Spelling errors like 'intersted' and 'exmple' also detract from the overall quality.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures. There are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'Some people thinks', 'youngsters considers') and article usage. While these errors do not typically impede communication, they are persistent throughout the text. To improve, the writer should focus on proofreading for basic agreement rules and ensuring that punctuation, such as the placement of commas, is accurate. Increasing the variety of complex structures while maintaining accuracy would also help in achieving a higher band score.
