Student answer (Band 6.0)
Influencers and famous celebrities plays a major role in setting current trends in fashion as they are famous, media-houses like to photograph them where ever they go. Some people argue that it is a good thing to photograph famous celebrities while others say, they should not be followed ever where they go. I will discuss both the views and will give my opinion below.
To start with, firstly, celebrities plays a major role in setting current trends in fashion and lifestyle as humans like to follow their life and also like to live the same lifestyle as their loved celebrity. Famous news channels also like to broadcast shows or news on famous celebrities so they keep on following this celebs where ever they are visiting. Furthermore, many famous people also do lots of charity work due to which many common people are also influenced to do charity. Many celebs visits fund raising and charity events which helps in raising money for the people in need and when this news is broadcast then I will help influence people in a positive manner.
In contrast to this, there are many photographers who like to click famous celebrities when they are with their family and are spending some private time with their loved ones and they try to click photos of them with their consent. From my personal experience, I have seen many times when celebrities get upset just because they want some private space and just be left alone by the photographers. In my opinion, celebs also have their personal space and should be left alone if they are not consenting to be photographed because they also have their personal life and no one has right to invade their personal space.
To conclude, in my opinion, famous people should be clicked when they are doing some good cause as it will influence humans in a positive way but on the other hand they should be left alone when they are in their private space.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both views and providing a clear personal opinion. The ideas are relevant, such as the influence of celebrities on charity and the importance of personal space. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat repetitive and lacks depth. For instance, the argument regarding charity is a bit simplistic. To reach a higher band, you should aim to provide more nuanced examples or deeper analysis of why the public interest exists or the ethical implications of paparazzi culture. The position is consistent throughout, but the supporting arguments could be more sophisticated.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each with a distinct focus. You use some cohesive devices like 'To start with', 'Furthermore', and 'In contrast to this' to guide the reader. However, some transitions feel mechanical or repetitive, such as the frequent use of 'also' and 'like to'. The referencing is generally clear, but the flow between sentences could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words and avoiding repetitive sentence structures. Paragraphing is used appropriately, which helps the overall readability of the response.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks variety and precision. You rely heavily on basic terms like 'famous', 'celebrities', and 'like to'. There is some attempt at less common vocabulary, such as 'consent' and 'invade', but these are limited. To improve, try to incorporate more topic-specific collocations related to media, privacy, and public influence. Avoid repeating the same words in close proximity, as this makes the writing feel less sophisticated. Expanding your range of synonyms will help you achieve a higher score in this criterion.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
There are several grammatical errors throughout the text, particularly with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'celebrities plays', 'celebs visits'). While you attempt some complex sentence structures, they are often marred by these basic errors. Punctuation is generally functional, but there are some awkward phrasings that hinder the flow. To improve, focus on ensuring that your subjects and verbs agree and try to vary your sentence structures more effectively. While the errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score.
