Student answer (Band 6.0)

In the day of modernization, it is a trend that most celebrities and famous personalities are getting photographed wherever they go. Most people think it should be normalized while some folks believe that it is invading their privacy and personal space which is correct according to my perspective. Both sides will be discussed in upcoming paragraphs with a relevant conclusion.

On the one hand, many people loves to show their interest in those people lives which are quite famous. They tries to engage in their day to day life by taking their pictures when they are seen in public and even while they are working on their some kind of project to connect with them and to keep themselves updated. Somehow even celebrities enjoy that as well. For instance, the individuals that take famous people photographs are called paparazzi and they have became the part of this current industry. Which are the medium that helps to increase the engagement between these celebrities and their fans.

On the other hand, critics argue that it totally wrong that taking the pictures of these people is somehow not a right way to engage with them. It is impacting their life in a bad way because it can be a threat to their life and can cause lot of dangerous problems to them. When these celebrities come in public spaces they have to act unnatural all the time which could be harsh for them. If a famous personality do not want to get picture clicked it should be normalized for their privacy concern. For example, In 2018 a celebrity named Mark mason suffered mental illness because he was getting photographed at every place he visited.

In conclusion, until some point it is good for celebrities to get photographed at certain location which do not invade their safety.

But in my opinion exceeding

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a personal opinion. However, the conclusion is incomplete, as the final sentence is cut off, which prevents a full development of the position. While the main ideas are relevant, the supporting examples, such as the reference to 'Mark mason', are somewhat vague and lack sufficient depth to fully support the argument. To reach a higher band, ensure that the conclusion is fully articulated and that examples are more clearly explained to demonstrate their relevance to the topic.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, and there is a logical progression of ideas from the introduction to the body paragraphs. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'On the one hand' and 'On the other hand', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as the phrase 'Which are the medium' which lacks a clear antecedent. The abrupt end to the essay significantly impacts the overall coherence of the final section.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to convey their meaning. There are attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'paparazzi' and 'modernization'. However, there are instances of imprecise word choice and collocation errors, such as 'most people loves' (subject-verb agreement) and 'do not want to get picture clicked' (should be 'have their picture taken'). The range is somewhat limited, and the repetition of basic structures hinders the expression of more sophisticated ideas.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement ('many people loves', 'They tries', 'personality do not') and article usage. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are persistent throughout the text. The punctuation is generally functional, but the incomplete final sentence is a significant grammatical failure. To improve, focus on proofreading for basic agreement errors and ensuring that all sentences are complete and grammatically sound.
