Student answer (Band 7.5)
Nowadays, famous people are often photographed by professional photographers wherever they go. While some people believe this is beneficial because the public is interested in celebrities' lives, others argue that photographers should respect their privacy. Although both views have valid arguments, I believe photographers should not follow famous people everywhere because everyone deserves a private life.
On the one hand, many people believe that photographing celebrities is justified because the public is interested in their lives. This is because actors, singers, and sports personalities are role models for millions of people, and fans enjoy learning about their lifestyle and daily activities. In addition, these photographs help newspapers and magazines attract more readers, which benefits the media industry. For example, many fans follow famous athletes on social media and eagerly read news about their personal lives. Therefore, photographing celebrities satisfies public curiosity and supports the entertainment industry.
On the other hand, famous people should have the same right to privacy as everyone else. That is to say, constantly being followed by photographers can create stress and prevent celebrities from enjoying their personal lives with family and friends. Moreover, publishing private photographs without permission may damage their mental well-being and personal relationships. For instance, many well-known actors have complained that photographers wait outside their homes and take pictures without their consent. Therefore, I believe photographers should respect celebrities' privacy instead of following them everywhere.
Although the public may be interested in the lives of famous people, I believe photographers should respect their privacy. Celebrities entertain society through their work, but they should still have the freedom to enjoy their personal lives without constant media attention.
