Student answer (Band 6.0)

Professional photographer chases celebrities wherever they go and provide update to their fans through clicking their photos. Few people take this positively where as some are opposite thinkers. This essay will discuss both the view and conclude with my opinion.

To begin with, stars generally have huge fanbase and fans are always eager to know what is happening in their life. To some extent their life is not similar as of a common man, instead many believes publicly they have no privacy. They are usually treated as public figure due to their fan following and photographers follows them where ever they travel like at the airport, restaurants, and they click their photos and sell them and make money out of that which many people think its right as stars also want attention most of the time from public and media.

On the other end many people think that it is not good to follow known personality every where, as they are also human and they also need some sort of privacy, Inspite off being a well known followed individual.

For instance, there are some incidence where we have seen that even when they visit to see their loved ones in hospital who might be in critical condition, or in many situation when one of their relative passed away and at that time also photographers reached out there to click their photos regardless realizing importance of the situation.

In my opinion depite the fact that someone is popular among the public they should be treated like human too, it is not good to follow them everywhere. Before asking or clicking their pictures one needs to understand the relevance of the place like hospital , crematorium and try to avoid disturbing them.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While the first body paragraph touches on the public's interest, the explanation is repetitive and lacks depth. The second paragraph provides a relevant example regarding hospitals and funerals, which strengthens the argument. To improve, you should aim to expand your points with more nuanced reasoning rather than relying on general statements. The introduction is functional but could be more engaging. Overall, the task is addressed, but the depth of analysis is consistent with a mid-range band.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use some cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'On the other end', and 'For instance', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'On the other end', which should be 'On the other hand'. Additionally, the referencing is sometimes unclear; for example, 'many believes' lacks a clear subject. The flow between sentences is generally acceptable, but the progression of ideas could be smoother to achieve a higher band score.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your meaning clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'fanbase', 'public figure', and 'privacy'. However, there are instances of imprecise word choice and collocation errors, such as 'opposite thinkers' instead of 'opposing views' and 'regardless realizing' instead of 'without realizing'. The range of vocabulary is somewhat limited, and you rely on basic phrasing in several places. To improve, try to incorporate more sophisticated collocations and precise academic vocabulary to express your ideas with greater nuance.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('many believes', 'photographers follows'), incorrect prepositions ('similar as of'), and punctuation errors. There are also spelling mistakes like 'depite' and 'Inspite off'. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to be noticeable. To reach a higher band, focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and ensuring that your complex sentences are constructed accurately without missing articles or incorrect verb forms.
