Student answer (Band 6.5)
There is an ongoing debate whether famous people like scientists, artists or celebrities should be photographed by professional photographers wherever they go due to their fan's interest or this trend should be eliminated because it is not good for photographers to follow them. I am inclined to believe that being photographed by professionals have more advantages than drawbacks for public.
Supporters of this view affirm that celebrities are role models for young generation. As they are followed by a greater part of the population so people look to get information about their personal lives such as how they manage their work life balance, personal obligations and about their standard of living. When their photos or video clips of travelling, shopping and doing day-to-day activities such as dieting, cooking, exercising are shown on social platforms by media, then not only their fan followers increase but they are followed by many for their career aspects. It is positive for those who follows them for being ambitious in their own life but can influence some for wrongdoings to achieve that standard of life.
On the other side, opponents contend that it is not good to follow famous people because it disturbs their personal as well as professional lives in different ways. Sometimes when artists travel to different countries or cities for some personal family matters or mishappening such as death or accident of a loved one then followed by professional photographers or media make it difficult for them or they may get late for their appointments. Artist's permission must be taken or it should be confirmed if they are interest to get captured. Disturbing someone is not a good etiquette for being professional in career.
To conclude, although it is not good to follow famous personalities, after their approval if they are being photographed by media or professional photographer and public follow them for their career advancement then it can help building strong economy with great citizens, therefore, permission of the celebrity must be taken before capturing any photograph.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both sides of the issue and providing a clear personal opinion. The ideas are relevant, such as the role of celebrities as influencers and the ethical concerns regarding privacy. However, the development is somewhat uneven. The argument regarding the 'strong economy' in the conclusion is a bit of a leap and lacks sufficient logical connection to the previous points. To reach a higher band, ensure that each supporting point is fully explained with concrete examples rather than general statements.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used effectively to separate the two viewpoints. Cohesive devices such as 'On the other side', 'To conclude', and 'Although' are used to guide the reader. However, some transitions are slightly mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally repetitive. The flow between sentences is generally smooth, but the connection between the final argument in the conclusion and the rest of the essay could be more seamless to improve the overall progression of ideas.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the student to express ideas clearly. There is an attempt to use less common items like 'mishappening' and 'advancement', though 'mishappening' is not the most natural choice in this context. There are some minor errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'fan followers' (redundant) and 'get captured' (passive voice usage is slightly awkward here). The range is sufficient to convey meaning, but more precise and sophisticated vocabulary would elevate the score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The student uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, such as subject-verb agreement issues (e.g., 'being photographed... have' should be 'has') and awkward phrasing (e.g., 'if they are interest to get captured'). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are some missing commas in complex sentences. While these errors do not impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and refining the use of passive voice would improve accuracy.
