Student answer (Band 6.5)
Nowadays renowned people are photographed by photographers everywhere they go. Some individuals believe that it is a good thing because public want to know about their lives while other argue that photographers are wrong to follow celebrities everywhere. This essay will discuss both view along with my opinion.
On the one hand, celebrities have a strong fan following. Their fans always want to know about their daily activities. So media is a way by which people get to know what is happening in their lives and this thing work as a source of income for photographers. To add to it, Photographers provide entertainment and information to fans through photographs by printing them into newspaper, magazine and social media. Furthermore, through photographers, famous figures also get benefits. For illustration, whenever their new project arrive, media is the way by which information reaches to public.
On the other hand, this trend has some negative impact. Firstly, when photographers follow them everywhere this thing leads stress in their life. Sometimes it is difficult for them to leave the house without any interference. Some photographers have their own Channels, so just to get the publicity they follow the prominent people everywhere whether they go to a function or funeral. For illustration, it is often seen that on the last rite of famous people, celebrities are captured by photographers without their consent. To add to it, sometimes prominent people want to complete the task secretly which is not possible if they are followed by photographers.
I believe that everyone has a right to live life freely. Although photographed by professional photographers is a common thing but there should be a limit. No one has a right of invading someone's privacy.
In conclusion, photographers should understand the importance of privacy. They can take photographs by taking care of few things. They should know when and where they are not allowed to take photos. They should know everyone has a right to live peacefully without any interference.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
The essay addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both views and providing a clear personal opinion. The ideas are relevant and generally well-developed. For example, the arguments regarding the public's interest in celebrities and the negative impact on their mental health are clearly presented. However, some points could be further extended to reach a higher band; for instance, the discussion on the 'right to privacy' is a bit brief. The position is consistent throughout the response, and the conclusion effectively summarizes the main points while reiterating the writer's stance.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Each paragraph has a central theme. Cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', 'Furthermore', and 'In conclusion' are used to guide the reader. However, the use of some cohesive devices is slightly mechanical, and there are instances where the flow between sentences could be smoother. For example, the transition between the benefits of media and the negative impact of stress could be more sophisticated. Overall, the progression of ideas is clear.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The range of vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express ideas clearly. There are some attempts to use less common vocabulary, such as 'prominent people' and 'consent'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'leads stress in their life' (should be 'causes stress') and 'on the last rite' (should be 'at the funeral' or 'during funeral rites'). While these errors do not impede communication, they prevent the essay from reaching a higher band in this criterion.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles ('the public', 'the media') and subject-verb agreement ('this thing work', 'new project arrive'). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are minor errors in sentence construction. The writer demonstrates an ability to use complex sentences, but the accuracy of these structures is inconsistent. More attention to proofreading for basic grammatical slips would improve the score significantly.
