Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding fashion students in China is a relevant example, but the explanation of why this justifies the intrusion of photographers is not fully explored. The conclusion restates the position, but the reasoning remains slightly superficial. To reach a higher band, you should expand on the implications of your arguments, ensuring that the link between the 'benefit' and the 'photographing' is more robustly established.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is logically organized into four paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. Cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand,' 'Firstly,' and 'In conclusion' are used to guide the reader. However, some transitions are mechanical, and there are instances where the flow is slightly awkward, such as the phrase 'this essay will explain both the views before explaining why I believe...' which is a bit wordy. Referencing is generally clear, though some sentences lack smooth connectivity.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks precision and variety. There are several awkward collocations and word choices, such as 'pictures clicked by photographers' (better: 'photographs taken by professionals'), 'popular people' (better: 'celebrities' or 'public figures'), and 'photographers viral the pictures' (incorrect usage of 'viral' as a verb). While the meaning is generally clear, the range of vocabulary is somewhat repetitive and lacks the sophistication required for higher bands.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('photographers also clicks', 'students learns'), incorrect article usage ('the fashion industries'), and awkward phrasing ('photos of famous personality by professional photographs'). While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding the message, they are frequent enough to impact the overall fluency and accuracy of the writing.
