Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 135 words. Consequently, the task is only partially addressed. While the prompt asks to discuss both views and provide an opinion, the ideas are severely underdeveloped and lack supporting examples or depth. The position is mentioned in the introduction but is not clearly articulated or supported throughout the body paragraphs. The content is repetitive and fails to explore the complexities of the topic, such as the balance between public interest and personal privacy.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is divided into paragraphs, but the logical progression is weak. While some cohesive devices like 'first and foremost' and 'therefore' are used, they are often applied incorrectly or in a way that does not enhance the flow of ideas. The referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the phrase 'they never follow that things', which makes it difficult for the reader to follow the argument. The overall structure is fragmented due to the lack of sufficient content to connect the ideas effectively.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.5

The vocabulary is limited and repetitive. There are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'very forwords' (likely meaning 'forward'), 'againsts to famous people', and 'click by photographers'. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas, and the misuse of words often forces the reader to guess the intended meaning. To improve, you should focus on learning common collocations and using more precise terminology related to the topic of media and privacy.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that impede communication. There are significant issues with sentence structure, such as run-on sentences and fragments (e.g., 'In this era, people as well as technologies very forwords they can you any things'). Subject-verb agreement is often incorrect, and there is a lack of complex sentence structures. Punctuation is also inconsistent, which further disrupts the readability of the text. The majority of sentences contain errors, making it difficult to identify a consistent level of control.
