Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you provide examples like the cricketer and Tom Holland, the explanation of why these events are significant is a bit superficial. To reach a higher band, ensure that your arguments are more fully extended and that the link between the examples and the main point is more robust. The position is clear throughout, but the overall depth of analysis could be improved to better satisfy the requirements of a Band 7.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices such as 'First of all', 'On the flip side', and 'To conclude'. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly unnatural (e.g., 'in this upcoming paragraphs'). Additionally, some referencing is unclear, such as the transition between the general public taking photos and the specific issue of paparazzi. Improving the variety and natural flow of your linking words will help you achieve a higher score in this criterion.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You have an adequate range of vocabulary to convey your meaning, but there are several instances of word-choice errors and awkward collocations. For example, 'have been photographing by the paparazzies' is grammatically and lexically incorrect, and 'breaching the privacy of them' is unnatural. You also use 'renown person's' instead of 'renowned person's'. While your vocabulary is sufficient to communicate your ideas, it lacks the precision and flexibility required for higher bands. Focusing on learning word families and common collocations will be very beneficial.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
There is a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but the essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow of reading. Issues include incorrect passive voice construction ('have been photographing by'), subject-verb agreement ('People believes'), and article usage ('the development of the technology'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma splices and capitalization. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of errors in basic and complex structures prevents a higher score. You should focus on mastering subject-verb agreement and the correct use of passive voice.
