Student answer (Band 5.5)

It has become a trend to post the pictures of famous people captured by professional photograph artist on the social media platforms. Although some people believe that they are interested in personal life of the celebrity. Others think that people should not follow the artist by their photographs only. I will discuss both the views and give my opinion.

On the one hand, photographs are one of the best ways for celebrities to showcase their life to their hard earned fans. It has been shown that people only like to follow the artists who post quality photographs on the social media platform. As a result, for gaining more followers, famous people hire professional photographers. When fans follow their favorite person, they also influence to their lives. For example, Saurav Joshi is the famous youtuber of the India who showcase his personal life to the subscribers everyday. That influence many people to live life like him and also encourage his fans to do hard work and become a successful like him. Recently, Saurav Joshi post photograph of planting more trees around his area that influenced lot of people to do same things in their lives.

On the other hand, nowadays we have explored some famous people on the social media platform who post AI generated photographs. There are many AI application available in the market which can help you to create any types of picture with any object. Some people follow their celebrity because of their passion and celebrity use AI application to make unnecessary photographs. For instance, John lee is famous adventures person in his real life. He has posted many passionate photographs while doing risky activities. Some of the photographs captured recently found out on the social media were AI generated images. So people shouldn't follow their celebrity by their photographs only as it's easy to fool their fans by using AI nowadays.

In conclusion, It's definitely wrong way to follow their favorite artist by their photographs only. However, I believe that influencers can do a lot of positive work for their fans by posting a photographs which are clicked by professionals.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. The first body paragraph focuses on the positive influence of celebrities, which is relevant, but the second paragraph shifts focus to AI-generated imagery. While this is an interesting point, it slightly deviates from the core prompt regarding the ethics of photographers following celebrities. The argument about AI is not fully linked back to the 'photographer' aspect of the prompt, making the connection to the task slightly tenuous. To improve, ensure that every point made directly supports the specific question asked.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, and there is a logical progression of ideas. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion' to signal the structure. However, some transitions between sentences are a bit mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the sentence 'When fans follow their favorite person, they also influence to their lives.' The use of cohesive devices is sufficient, but more sophisticated linking words would improve the flow and coherence of the argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'social media platforms', 'subscribers', and 'AI-generated'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'professional photograph artist' (should be 'professional photographer') and 'famous adventures person' (should be 'adventurous person'). Additionally, there is some repetition of basic words. To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise collocations and a wider variety of topic-specific vocabulary to express your ideas with greater nuance and accuracy.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles ('the India', 'the social media platform'), verb forms ('they also influence to their lives'), and subject-verb agreement ('Saurav Joshi post photograph'). Punctuation is generally acceptable, but some sentences are slightly awkward due to these grammatical slips. To improve, focus on proofreading for basic errors in articles and verb tense consistency, and try to incorporate more complex sentence structures with greater precision.
