Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response is significantly under the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 113 words. Consequently, the task is not fully addressed, and the ideas are severely underdeveloped. While you attempt to outline both sides of the argument, the response is incomplete and ends abruptly mid-sentence. To improve, you must ensure you provide a full introduction, two well-developed body paragraphs with supporting examples, and a clear conclusion. The current structure is more of a list than an essay, which prevents you from demonstrating the ability to develop a coherent argument.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0

The essay lacks a standard paragraph structure. Using bullet points or numbered lists is not appropriate for an IELTS essay. The progression of ideas is hindered by the incomplete nature of the text. While there is a basic attempt to organize points, the lack of cohesive devices and the abrupt ending make the text difficult to follow. To improve, focus on writing full, connected paragraphs using linking words such as 'furthermore', 'however', and 'consequently' to guide the reader through your arguments logically.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is generally functional but limited. Phrases like 'foremost step' and 'remain in highlights' are slightly unnatural or inaccurate in this context. You have a basic range of vocabulary that allows you to express simple ideas, but you lack the precision and variety required for higher bands. To improve, try to incorporate more topic-specific collocations related to media, privacy, and celebrity culture, and focus on using words in their correct grammatical context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are several grammatical errors, such as 'stars who deserves' (should be 'deserve') and 'whic' (incomplete word). The sentence structures are relatively simple, and the lack of a complete text makes it difficult to assess your ability to use complex structures effectively. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and ensure that your sentences are complete and punctuated correctly. Practice writing more complex sentences using relative clauses and conditional structures to demonstrate a wider range of grammatical control.
