Student answer (Band 6.0)
In recent years, it is seen that widespread love and faith in celebrities has grown immensely. It is argued that media personnel should not follow them and click images wherever they go while some people believe that public figures should be photographed as their fans are keen to get a glimpse of their lives. However, I personally believe that there should be a boundary and a photographer must know its limits'.
Public figures are often seen as public property. For example, getting clicked at the airport by the paps, while in order to get more views on their social media platforms, these photographer often forget their boundary. In cases like asking irrelevant questions and keep on clicking pictures even if the person says,"NO". Hence, it affects their life in terms of disturbing their mental peace.
Moreover, it is evident that majority of female celebrities are harassed by these professional photographers. For instance, clicking pictures from vague angles and then publishing them without giving a second thought. As a consequence, celebrities look awkward and pissed while making a public appearance, however faces backlash without being guilty.
On the other hand, it is believed by some folks that celebrities must get clicked while they are hanging out at random places. It is supported with a fact that people get the chance to see their famous person's lifestyle. Hence, it gives them a sense of joy to see their famous stars at random places rather then just on screens.
I personally think that there should be a proper boundary to click them and interact with them. After all they are just like other ordinary people and they have the right to live their life freely without thinking about the consequences they may get while getting papped by the photographers.
To recapitulate, there should be a mutual understanding while dealing with the stars and maybe they must be contacted beforehand for the photographs and interactions.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both views and providing a clear personal opinion. The ideas are relevant, such as the impact on mental health and the public's desire for entertainment. However, the development is somewhat uneven. The argument regarding the 'harassment' of female celebrities is a strong point, but the discussion of the opposing view is slightly underdeveloped and relies on generalisations. To reach a higher band, ensure that the supporting arguments for both sides are balanced in depth and that the conclusion synthesises the main points more effectively rather than just suggesting a solution.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is logically organised into clear paragraphs, each with a central theme. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Moreover', 'On the other hand', and 'To recapitulate', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions feel a bit mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally imprecise, such as the use of 'it' in 'It is supported with a fact'. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the different viewpoints. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of cohesive devices and ensuring that the logical flow between sentences is smoother and less repetitive.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, with some attempts at less common items like 'recapitulate' and 'mutual understanding'. However, there are some informal choices such as 'paps', 'clicked', and 'pissed', which are not suitable for an academic or formal IELTS essay. There are also minor issues with collocation, such as 'getting papped'. To achieve a higher score, you should aim for a more formal register and use more precise vocabulary to express your ideas, avoiding slang or overly colloquial expressions that detract from the academic tone.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are several grammatical errors, such as 'these photographer often forget' (subject-verb agreement) and 'rather then' (should be 'than'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the placement of quotation marks and the use of the apostrophe in 'limits''. While these errors do not impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. Increasing the variety of complex structures while ensuring accuracy in subject-verb agreement and punctuation will help improve this score.
