Student answer (Band 6.5)
It is often argued that celebrities should not have their private lives when they decided to step into fame industry. It is upsurging trend among celebrity reporters to become shadow of actors and disturb their private lives in many ways. I believe that this trend should stop because we always talk about work life balance and they are also entitled to it. I will be discussing both opinions with supported arguments in upcoming paragraphs.
On one hand everyone likes to follow their personal favourite film stars especially young genration. They consider their favourite celebrities as their role models. Not only they want to follow their dressing sense but also like to mimic their personality and for this purpose professional photographers plays a vital role. In addition, it generates lots of income and employment too. To explain it, when a famous personality do something new with their outfit it becomes viral sensation and genz try to follow it it creates demand of that particular thing in fashion industry which leads to genration of jobs and money.
On the contrary, it is totally unethical to follow and forcefully get someone vedios and photos without their permission for one’s personal benefit. In recent times it is seen that film industry reporters are practising unethical methods. They show up anywhere and try clicking photos of celebs even if they are not comfortable with that which breaches their right to have work life balance which we all need today. Secondly, it is seen that to make photos viral they are intentionally captured in certain angles which can make film actors conscious along with some misleading information.
To conclude, it is totally fine if the photos are captured with one’s consent and at a right place such as Gala event or any award night but I do not support disturbing any one personal life for financial benefit and personal interests as celebrities also have right to keep their personal and professional life separate.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both views and providing a clear personal opinion. The ideas are relevant, such as the role of celebrities as fashion influencers and the ethical concerns regarding privacy. However, the development is somewhat uneven. For instance, the argument regarding the fashion industry's economic benefits is a bit repetitive and could have been more clearly linked to the photographers' role. The position is consistent throughout, and the conclusion effectively summarises the stance. To reach a higher band, ensure that each supporting point is fully explored with more nuanced examples.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is logically organised with a clear introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the two opposing views. Cohesive devices such as 'On one hand', 'In addition', 'On the contrary', and 'To conclude' are used to guide the reader. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and there are minor issues with referencing, such as the use of 'they' in the first paragraph, which lacks a clear antecedent. Overall, the progression of ideas is clear and easy to follow.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, with some attempts at using topic-specific language like 'viral sensation', 'unethical', and 'breaches their right'. However, there are several instances of awkward phrasing and collocation errors, such as 'fame industry' instead of 'entertainment industry', 'upsurging trend' instead of 'an emerging trend', and 'get someone vedios' which is grammatically and lexically imprecise. While the meaning is always clear, the range of vocabulary is somewhat limited, and the lack of precision prevents a higher score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement ('professional photographers plays', 'a famous personality do') and article usage ('at a right place'). Some sentences are slightly clunky, such as 'It is often argued that celebrities should not have their private lives when they decided to step into fame industry.' While these errors do not impede communication, they are persistent throughout the text. A wider range of error-free complex structures is needed to move into the 7.0+ range.
