Student answer (Band 6.5)
Nowadays, famous celebrities are photographed by paparazzi everywhere they go because it is part of their job. It also encourages their fans who are interested in their lives. Some people argue that photographers should not always follow the stars because they hinders their privacy. I personally believe that paparazzi should not always capture every moment of the famous people and let them enjoy their own privacy.
One of the major reasons why professional photographers click pictures of famous personalities is that this is part of their job. They earn by publishing pictures in the magazines and newspapers. In addition, youngsters want to copy their favorite celebrities and encourage photographers to click and picture more pictures. For example, if a photographer publishes pictures of famous celebrities, they indirectly encourage their fans to match their dressing style, adapt their schedule in terms of doing exercise or having a meal. As a result, children may get motivated to study hard and achieve their goals in life.
On the other hand some people argue that this is a negative trend and paparazzi should not follow famous people because it affects their privacy. This is because, clicking their pictures without a consent an raise a serious concern of privacy leaking. For example, sometimes celebrities enjoy their meals in the restaurant with their families. Therefore, posting their families or children pictures on social media can be threating for them. As a result, a celebrity may receive a threat call after their pictures get leaked.
To conclude, although it is part of a paparazzi's job to click and publish photographs of famous people, they should also ask for their consent. Furthermore, every individual deserves to enjoy his privacy and freedom which should not be affected by anyone.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
You have addressed all parts of the prompt, including both viewpoints and your own opinion. The position is clear throughout the response. The ideas are relevant, though some development could be more nuanced. For instance, the argument that celebrity photos motivate children to study hard is a bit tenuous and could have been better linked to the concept of 'role models' rather than specific study habits. Overall, the response is well-structured and directly answers the task requirements, providing a balanced discussion followed by a clear personal stance.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is logically organized with a clear progression of ideas. Each paragraph has a central topic, and you have used cohesive devices such as 'In addition', 'On the other hand', and 'To conclude' effectively to guide the reader. However, some transitions are slightly mechanical, and the referencing could be smoother. For example, the phrase 'This is because, clicking their pictures without a consent an raise a serious concern' is a bit clunky. Overall, the paragraphing is appropriate and the flow of information is easy to follow.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You demonstrate a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey your ideas clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'paparazzi', 'privacy', and 'consent'. However, there are some minor inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'threating' (should be 'threatening') and 'threat call' (should be 'threatening call'). To reach a higher band, try to incorporate more sophisticated collocations or less common lexical items to express your ideas with greater precision and style.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are several grammatical errors that persist. For example, 'they hinders their privacy' (subject-verb agreement error), 'without a consent' (article usage), and 'an raise' (typo/article error). Additionally, 'picture more pictures' is redundant. While these errors do not impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. Focus on proofreading for subject-verb agreement and article usage to improve your accuracy.
