Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both views and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding fans being 'motivated' by celebrities is a bit tenuous and lacks specific examples. The discussion on the negative impacts is more developed, touching on privacy and safety, but the overall depth of analysis is restricted by the brevity of the paragraphs. The conclusion is also quite brief and does not fully synthesize the points discussed. To reach a higher band, you should aim to expand on your reasoning with more concrete examples or logical explanations for each perspective.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear attempt to use cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion'. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly inaccurate, such as 'the critics of this nation' (likely meaning 'notion') and 'the line of personal and professional life is get diappered'. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and the flow between sentences could be smoother. While the overall progression is logical, the lack of sophisticated linking words and some awkward phrasing impacts the cohesion of the argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but there are frequent errors in word choice and spelling that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'favourate', 'routain', 'sorounder', 'camers', and 'diappered'. The phrase 'critics of this nation' is a misuse of vocabulary, and 'safe compromise' is an awkward collocation. While you attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'professional photographers' and 'personal life', the range is limited, and the persistent spelling errors suggest a lack of control over more complex lexical items.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay displays a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, such as 'some assert this it is a good', 'this thing have negative influence', and 'everyone know that is current location'. Subject-verb agreement and article usage are inconsistent. While the meaning is generally conveyed, these persistent errors require the reader to make an effort to understand the intended message. To improve, focus on basic sentence construction, verb tense consistency, and proofreading to eliminate minor slips in grammar and punctuation.
