Student answer (Band 6.5)
In recent years, celebrities are more photographed by photographers everywhere. It is often debated whether this is a good thing because fans have enthusiasm in their lives or photographers do not do right by following famous people. Although this offers career promotions to celebrities, in my opinion it is not right because photographers disturb privacy of celebrities as well.
To begin with, famous people are captured more where they go. As they have big fan following, public wants to know about their daily lifestyle. As a result, they feel that photographers doing right by capturing their role models. Moreover, career of celebrities has been expanded by capturing them because this is not only help to promote films, songs, but also celebrities get more popularity through media coverage. Consequently, they earn more stardom and growth.
However, some people think that celebrities should not be recorded at all times as they also have personal life. When they have been recorded at every place, they feel lack privacy and it makes them less comfortable to enjoy quality time with loved ones. Furthermore, this trend also improves the insecurity of celebrities and their family members. Either rivals can take benefits by knowing exact location of famous people or some family members do not want to get famous. So, celebrities may entangle in unpredictable problems , if they have been continuously photographed.
To conclude, despite it is true that celebrities may have benefits in career promotion, they also have some serious problems and lack of privacy. Eventually, they should not be photographed without their consent.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The essay addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both views and providing a clear personal opinion. The ideas are relevant, such as the benefits of media coverage for career growth and the negative impact on personal privacy. However, some arguments are slightly under-developed. For instance, the point about 'insecurity' and 'rivals' is a bit vague and could have been supported with a more concrete example. The position is consistent throughout the essay, and the conclusion effectively summarizes the main points. To reach a higher band, ensure that each supporting point is fully explained with specific examples or logical consequences.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. There is a progression of ideas from the introduction to the body paragraphs and the conclusion. Cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'Moreover', 'However', and 'To conclude' are used to link ideas. However, some transitions feel a bit mechanical, and there are minor issues with referencing, such as 'they' in 'they feel that photographers doing right', where the antecedent is slightly ambiguous. Overall, the structure is clear and easy to follow, meeting the requirements for a band 6.5 or 7.0.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their ideas clearly. There are some attempts at less common vocabulary, such as 'stardom', 'entangle', and 'consent'. However, there are some awkward collocations and word choices, such as 'enthusiasm in their lives' (instead of 'interest in their lives') and 'improves the insecurity' (instead of 'increases the insecurity'). These errors do not impede communication, but they indicate a need for more precise word choice to reach a higher band level.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors throughout the text, such as 'celebrities are more photographed' (should be 'more frequently photographed'), 'photographers doing right' (missing auxiliary verb), and 'despite it is true' (should be 'despite the fact that it is true'). While these errors are noticeable, they do not prevent the reader from understanding the message. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of complex sentence connectors.
