Student answer (Band 6.0)
These days, it is more common for celebrities to get photographed by papparazzi. Some argue that, it is acceptable, because fans are attracted towards their favourite celebrities lifestyle, and often motivate by their fashion and works in society. Whereas, others believe, a breach in privacy often causes stress and security issues in famous people lives. I support the latter claim and I will discuss both sides in this essay.
In addition, people who support the claim stats, fans and individuals who follows the life of famous personalities, like to persue same in their life such as fashion brands and their good work in society, for instance, charity. For example, My sister-in-law is big fan of Bollywood star Salman Khan, and she frequently buy clothes from his brand and follow his fashion style. Not only that, but she also support and donate to his charity foundation.
On the other hand, crossing the boundry of privacy often creates a chaos in celebrities lives. Issues like anxiety and security occurs as they get often harrased by professional photographers in order to get candid picture, or to get some spicy headlines for their business. The Princess Diana's accident is the biggest example of this claim; due to the high speed chase of media to get pictures, turned into horrific accident and lead to the death of the princess. Another example is the actor Tobey Maguire's viral clip which he got offended and angry on papparazzi's as he was driving car and unable to see the road because of continue flashlights of camera.
To sum up, both side has it's merit and reasoning for capturing celebs in camera and not to follow them; but, I strongly agree that no one should be allowed to corss the limit as it can lead to difficult situations.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both views and providing a clear personal opinion. The ideas are relevant, such as the influence of celebrities on fashion and charity, and the negative impact of privacy breaches. However, the development is somewhat uneven. The first body paragraph relies heavily on a personal anecdote about a sister-in-law, which is acceptable but could be balanced with more general societal analysis. The second body paragraph is stronger, using well-known examples like Princess Diana to support the argument. The position is consistent throughout the essay, meeting the requirements for a Band 6.5 or 7.0, but the depth of analysis could be further extended for a higher score.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each with a distinct focus. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'In addition', 'On the other hand', and 'To sum up', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are slightly mechanical or awkward, such as 'The Princess Diana's accident is the biggest example of this claim'. Additionally, there are minor issues with referencing and flow, such as the phrasing 'pursue same in their life'. While the progression of ideas is clear, the use of cohesive devices is not always sophisticated, placing this in the Band 6.0 range.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their ideas clearly. There are attempts to use less common vocabulary, such as 'breach in privacy', 'candid picture', and 'horrific accident'. However, there are several errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'stats' instead of 'states', 'persue same' instead of 'emulate them', and 'crossing the boundry' (spelling error). These errors do not impede communication, but they indicate a need for more precise control over lexical items to reach a higher band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There is an attempt at complex grammar, but it is frequently marred by errors in punctuation, articles, and subject-verb agreement. For example, 'fans and individuals who follows' (should be 'follow'), 'papparazzi's' (incorrect plural possessive), and 'both side has it's merit' (should be 'both sides have their merits'). While the meaning is always clear, the frequency of these grammatical slips prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. The writer demonstrates a basic command of sentence structure but lacks the consistent accuracy required for Band 7.0.
