Student answer (Band 5.0)
It is certainly true that famous personalities mostly capture by expert photographers. People hold different opinions this approach. Some assume that it is good idea to click photos from professional photographers because individuals have interest in their life. However, several deem that it is wrong to follow their personal life. According to my perspective, following renowned people by photographers is not appropriate thing.
On the one side, there are number of reasons that why people think that capturing pictures of well known celebrities is good thing. First of all, they consider as their role models, and they like to follow their footsteps. Therefore, they can get idea related branded clothes, foods and also their lifestyles through their photos. Moreover, they can motivate from their personal and professional life. Because, some photographers take interview from renowned personalities by doing this , they can learn problem solving skills, increase confidence, and improve creativity. By following these things, they can become famous in their future.
On the other side, taking pictures of well known individuals all the the time is bad idea.Beacsue they become unable to live their freely. Some photographers take pictures without taking their permission which may create awkward situation for them. Moving further, they can use their photos for blackmails which would be not like to post on social media applications.Famous people are not able to anjoy their life with their family members . Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses both views and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the essay is incomplete, ending abruptly at 'To', which significantly impacts the development of the conclusion. Furthermore, the word count is below the 250-word minimum, which is a penalty factor. While the ideas are relevant, the development is somewhat superficial; for example, the argument about photographers helping celebrities with 'problem solving skills' is illogical and lacks clear support. To improve, ensure all parts of the prompt are fully addressed, provide more logical examples, and complete the essay structure.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay uses basic paragraphing and some cohesive devices such as 'On the one side' and 'Moreover'. However, the progression is hindered by the incomplete nature of the final paragraph. The use of linking words is sometimes mechanical, and there are instances where the flow between sentences is disjointed, such as the transition between the discussion of role models and the claim about photographers teaching problem-solving skills. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of cohesive devices and ensure that each paragraph has a clear, logical conclusion before moving to the next point.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and repetitive. Phrases like 'good thing' and 'bad idea' are used frequently, which restricts the range. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'mostly capture by expert photographers' (should be 'are captured by') and 'they can motivate from their personal life' (should be 'they can be motivated by'). The range is just adequate for the task, but lacks the precision and flexibility required for higher bands. Expanding your vocabulary to include more topic-specific collocations related to privacy, media, and public figures would be beneficial.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'People hold different opinions this approach' (missing preposition), 'there are number of reasons that why' (redundant 'that'), and 'all the the time' (repetition). There is a mix of simple and some attempted complex structures, but the accuracy is inconsistent. Subject-verb agreement and article usage are frequent areas of error. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like missing articles and incorrect verb forms.
