Student answer (Band 6.0)

In the modern world, some people claims that famous individuals are captured for their private lives whereas, other feels it is wrong to do as they have also their privacy. In this essay, will discuss both the views with my opinion.

On one hand there are many reasons why photographers follow well-known people for photography. The main one is that people want to know more about their favourite person. They are always want to know about their private matters such as what they are eating, how they are living.Another reason is that photographers get fortune money to get one click of a celebrity. As they have more popularity among people. This is the reason they are always desperate to take a photo of a well-known person.

On the other hand people criticize photographers to follow them. This is because famous people also has their own life and they also want some privacy. They always not want to capture as they are spending time with family and friends, as they are enjoying their special moments. For example, The famous cricketer Virat Kohli, moved to abroad as he is always captured by everyone and he want some privacy for his life.Another reason is that for safety. To explain it some politicians are on work and they does not want reveal their project to public for safety reason at that time also they does not want to followers by photographer.

To conclude, for money and entertainment photographers run behind prominent individuals;however, I believe that famous people also need some privacy for their life and they also has right to live peacefully without disturbance.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The essay addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion in the conclusion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the point about photographers earning 'fortune money' is a bit simplistic and could have been expanded with more sophisticated reasoning regarding the media industry. While the example of Virat Kohli is relevant, the explanation regarding politicians is slightly confusing and lacks clarity. To reach a higher band, you should aim to provide more nuanced arguments and ensure that every point is fully explained rather than just stated.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices like 'On one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'To conclude' to signal the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or repetitive. Additionally, there are instances where the flow between sentences is slightly disjointed, such as the transition between the mention of photographers' income and the desire for photos. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences would enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. You rely on basic phrasing such as 'famous people', 'good thing', and 'wrong'. There are also some awkward collocations, such as 'fortune money' and 'run behind', which sound unnatural. To improve, you should focus on using more precise academic vocabulary and collocations, such as 'public figures', 'intrusive', or 'financial incentives'. While the meaning is always clear, the lack of sophisticated lexical items limits the score in this criterion.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

There is a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but the essay contains frequent grammatical errors. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('some people claims', 'famous people also has', 'they does not want'), article misuse, and awkward phrasing ('they are always want to know', 'they does not want to followers'). These errors are noticeable and occur throughout the text. While they do not prevent the reader from understanding your message, they indicate a lack of control over complex structures. Focusing on basic grammatical accuracy and proofreading for subject-verb agreement would be highly beneficial.
