Student answer (Band 6.5)
Nowadays, famous people such as celebrities, actors, or athletes are photographed by professional photographers everywhere they go. I think this has both good and bad aspects.
It is great for them is they enjoy being taken pictures and exposed themselves through TV programs and social medias. Their fans are always waiting for their news even little ones. The more they're seen in various media, the more popular they can get. Additionally, this can work as an advertisement of tourism (for where they go), and or products (for what they wear, have and use). It is even better where they run own brands or business by themselves. In these ways, being photographed can provide economical profits.
However, it is also said bad for them to be followed everywhere. Firstly, they don't have privacy and it makes them uncomfortable and exhausted. They cannot feel to rest where people are watching them all the time. And it is dangerous to be known where and when they're. Secondly, their families and friends also might be included in the picture even if they're not famous themselves. This gains risks to get involved some crimes such as a kid napping or threaten. We need to be careful and respectful for people around the famous people as well.
In my opinion, we should not follow them to take pictures in their private time. It can be allowed only where they gave a permission. People must respect them and their privacy must not be exploitted for other's business. Everyone should understand various aspects of this and act property case by case.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both views and providing a clear personal opinion. The ideas are relevant, such as the economic benefits for celebrities and the privacy concerns for their families. However, some points are slightly under-developed; for instance, the mention of 'crimes such as a kid napping' is a strong point but lacks specific elaboration or a more formal tone. The position is consistent throughout the essay. To reach a higher band, ensure that arguments are supported with more detailed explanations or concrete examples rather than just listing points.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized into four paragraphs, with a clear introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices such as 'Additionally', 'However', and 'Firstly' are used to guide the reader. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'It is even better where they run own brands'. The referencing is generally clear, but the flow between sentences could be smoother. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring they are used in a more natural, sophisticated way would enhance the overall cohesion of the text.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the student to express ideas clearly. There are some attempts at less common vocabulary, such as 'economical profits' and 'exploitted', though 'exploitted' is misspelled and 'economical' is used incorrectly (should be 'economic'). Some phrasing is slightly unnatural, such as 'exposed themselves through TV programs'. To improve, the student should focus on collocations and word forms. Expanding the range of vocabulary to include more precise academic terms would help move the score into the 7.0+ range.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The student uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as 'It is great for them is they enjoy being taken pictures' (should be 'having their pictures taken') and 'It is even better where they run own brands' (missing articles/possessives). There are also issues with subject-verb agreement and preposition usage. While these errors do not impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on sentence construction and proofreading for basic grammatical slips would be beneficial.
