Student answer (Band 6.5)
There are conflicting opinion regarding celebrities being constantly photographed by many professional photographers. Many argue that is acceptable as it will eventually boost their popularity. Others believe that recording their personal moments is invasion of privacy.
On the one hand, there are several reasons why people believe that taking photographs of famous persons is acceptable. Firstly, majority of celebrities are keen on being photographed constantly as it will shed more light on them and will drastically boost their reach. For example, celebrities often wanted to share their picture because they wanted to promote their recent films. Moreover, people who look forward to these famous entity have curiosity regarding their lifestyle and events going in their life. This curiosity lead to increased demand of blogs, photographs, and other form of recording of famous individuals encourage photographer to record them.
On the other hand, although being a famous person requires lots of attraction and people wanted to know more about them, invading someone private life is socially unacceptable. celebrities also have their own private life and may not want to overshare their private moment with everyone. Additionally, many photographer also tend to cross the healthy boundaries and sometime become aggressive to take picture sometime leading injuries. for instance, recent news article involved an event where a celebrity got injured as a photographer throwed a bottle to grab their attention.
In my view, taking photographs of celebrities enable people to know about them, but it should be done in moderation and photographer ought not to capture their private movement and spare famous person with private life.
In conclusion, though photographs allow fans to know more about their favorite celebrities and enable famous person to increase their popularity, but it also curbs their private life and at some extend it also harms them.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses all parts of the task, discussing both views and providing a clear personal opinion. The ideas are relevant and generally well-developed, such as the mention of promotional benefits for celebrities and the ethical concerns regarding privacy. However, some arguments could be more thoroughly extended; for instance, the point about photographers becoming aggressive is a strong example, but the explanation of why this happens could be more nuanced. The position is consistent throughout the essay, and the conclusion effectively summarises the main points while reiterating the writer's stance.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organised with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Each paragraph has a central topic, and the progression of ideas is generally smooth. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Firstly', 'Moreover', and 'On the other hand', though some transitions feel slightly mechanical. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the different viewpoints. While the flow is generally good, there are minor issues with referencing and sentence-level cohesion, such as the slightly awkward phrasing in the final sentence of the second paragraph.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express ideas clearly. There is an attempt to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'invasion of privacy', 'socially unacceptable', and 'curiosity'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'famous entity' instead of 'famous individuals' or 'celebrities', and 'lots of attraction' instead of 'a lot of attention'. Some repetition of words like 'private' and 'photograph' occurs, which limits the range. The errors do not impede communication, but they prevent the essay from reaching a higher band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is always clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement ('This curiosity lead to', 'many photographer also tend') and verb tense/form ('celebrities often wanted', 'photographer throwed'). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are some missing articles and minor errors in sentence construction. The complexity of the structures is sufficient, but the frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents a higher score.
