Student answer (Band 6.5)
In today's world, it is increasingly common that famous people are photographed by experienced photographers wherever they go. While some proponents believe that it is a good thing as people are keen to learn more about their personal lives, others contend that photographers violate their privacy with constant scrutiny. This essay will outline both perspectives in detail and opine that photographers need to adhere to ethical standards while taking pictures of famous personalities.
One of the primary reasons why people believe that it is beneficial to photograph famous personalities is that it creates an emotional connection between fans and their favourite actors. This is largely because youngsters nowadays shape their lifestyles and goals according to the behaviour of their famous personalities. If their favourite actors contribute to performing good deeds, they would be likely to follow in their footsteps. As a result, gaining a glimpse into their favourite models personal lives encourages individuals to become responsible citizens, thereby strengthening their emotional connection with their famous people. For example, the well-known Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma with huge fan following influenced many youngsters because of her religious commitment towards her life. Consequently, her personal lifestyle is frequently covered by the paparazzi. Hence, this example shows that why people believe it is advantageous to photograph famous personalities.
On the contrary, people who believe it is not best practice to be followed by photographers argue that it leads to undue stress and anxiety. This is because when sometimes actors wants to come out from their homes to get fresh air out of their professional life, they are constantly covered by paparazzi without their consent. These actions performed by media reporters not only affect their mental well-being but also creates misinterpretations of their random pictures in the media industry. For this reasons, celebrities often hesitate to come in front of paparazzi because those randoms pictures captured by reporters might spread false information of their lifestyle. To exemplify, a bollywood actress Salman khan whose career faced huge downturn due to false information spread by a media reporters related to animal killing. Therefore, it is evident that photographers need to get a consent before photographing famous personalities.
In conclusion, although it is advantageous for famous personalities to be photographed by experienced photographers, I believe these professional photographers needs to follow ethical practices while clicking famous personalities pictures. This is simply because clicking random pictures can alleviate stress and exhaustion in their personal life.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
You have addressed all parts of the prompt, discussing both views and providing a clear personal opinion in the introduction and conclusion. Your ideas are relevant, such as the influence of celebrities on youth and the psychological impact of paparazzi. However, the development of these ideas is occasionally repetitive, and some examples, such as the mention of Salman Khan, are not fully integrated or explained in a way that directly supports the argument about 'consent' effectively. To reach a higher band, ensure that each supporting point is fully explored without relying on generalizations.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. You use cohesive devices such as 'One of the primary reasons', 'On the contrary', and 'In conclusion' to guide the reader. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and there are minor issues with referencing, such as the phrase 'those randoms pictures' which lacks a clear antecedent. Paragraphing is used appropriately, and the progression of ideas is generally easy to follow throughout the response.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate a sufficient range of vocabulary to discuss the topic with some precision, using terms like 'proponents', 'scrutiny', 'adhere to ethical standards', and 'undue stress'. There are some minor inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'clicking famous personalities pictures' and 'randoms pictures'. While these do not impede communication, they prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. Expanding your range of collocations and refining the use of academic vocabulary would improve your score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you show control over complex sentences, there are frequent minor errors in grammar and punctuation. For example, subject-verb agreement issues occur, such as 'actors wants' and 'professional photographers needs'. Additionally, there are minor errors with articles and pluralization, such as 'a media reporters' and 'a bollywood actress Salman khan'. These errors are noticeable but do not significantly impede the reader's understanding of your arguments.
