Student answer (Band 6.0)

In recent times, the increasing prevalence of socializing life has generated considerable debate. Some masses argue that filming the life of celebrities by experts is influencing the thinking the of citizens in positive way while the remaining states it as adverse effect on public.

To commence with, we live in technologically advanced era where most of the folks have their presence on various social media platforms. Celebrities share their day to day life activities on social sites like Instagram, Facebook and Telegram to stay connected with their audience. Influential personalities use their audience as they asset more the viewers more they get paid for brand integration. Moreover, if celebrity is health conscious and they promote healthy lifestyle their followers will also try to follow same routine. Recent study of Niagara College depicts that people who follow the health enthusiast people on online sites are 39% more healthy than who followed celebrities who promotes junk food.

On the flip side, by each passing day everything is getting expensive due to inflation. Celebrities wear new clothes, shoes, belts every day and do fine dine in 5 star restaurants and post these things on social media. Their audience tries to copy same things but most the things are out of budget so they either take loans or use credit card to afford same life style to fit in the society by doing so they end up paying more on wants than needs. Later, when they can repay the borrowed money they get depressed.

To conclude, in my prespective people should think twice before following anyone of the social media because what they see they follow.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a personal opinion, though the opinion is somewhat brief and appears only in the conclusion. The ideas regarding the influence of celebrities on public health and financial habits are relevant, but the development is slightly uneven. For instance, the link between celebrity photography and the specific examples provided (social media usage and consumerism) is a bit tangential, as the prompt focuses on the act of being photographed by professionals rather than just the celebrities' own social media activity. To improve, ensure the focus remains strictly on the implications of professional paparazzi/photography as requested by the prompt.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the argument. There is a logical progression from the introduction to the body paragraphs and the conclusion. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly unnatural, such as 'To commence with' and 'On the flip side'. Additionally, some referencing is unclear, such as 'the remaining states it as adverse effect', where the subject is ambiguous. Improving the variety and precision of linking words would help the flow of ideas become more sophisticated.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks precision and variety. There are several instances of awkward phrasing or incorrect word choice, such as 'socializing life', 'some masses', and 'fine dine'. The term 'health enthusiast people' is also repetitive and lacks academic tone. While the meaning is generally clear, the range of vocabulary is limited, and the student relies on basic structures. To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise collocations and academic vocabulary rather than informal or slightly misused terms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Common issues include missing articles ('in technologically advanced era'), subject-verb agreement ('if celebrity is'), and awkward syntax ('the thinking the of citizens'). Punctuation is generally functional, but the sentence construction often feels clunky. To improve, the student should focus on basic grammatical accuracy, particularly with articles and pluralization, and attempt to vary sentence structure with more complex, error-free clauses.
